Honesty, no lies—that’s LU.
Placements: To be honest, I have no idea about this because, in my course, there is no placement. Because of teacher disengagement, they are not at all interested in telling you. Not even they provide internships. In the name of internships, they ask you to make files.
Infrastructure: Very old infrastructure because of the old campus, that's why everything is built in an old way. But yes, the washrooms are also dirty—only teachers' washrooms are clean. There are many libraries in the university, but as I said again, old infra. I don't know about hostel life because I am not in a hostel. Thank you.
Faculty: In my course, teachers are a little bit arrogant. And they are a little bit overconfident. They don’t treat students in a good way. They talk sometimes very badly. I have faced it once, so I know how it feels. But it's okay. They are not too supportive, although some of them are very good.
Other: Overall, the college is good, but my course is not that good.

Lucknow University always grows in terms of developing its students.
Placements: I am a student at Lucknow University, pursuing M.A. in economics. The faculty members in my department are helpful in terms of making us understand every concept, and most importantly, the professors here are very interactive and kind towards our assignments too. Since I am in semester 3, there are no placements right now, but I heard from seniors that many students get placements. It all depends on your hard work.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is very good. The washrooms are good. Since I am a day scholar, I didn't need a hostel, but my friends said that the hostel and mess are very good. The food there is good. They try to give students a full meal thrice, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Faculty: The teachers are well-experienced and very helpful in terms of making us understand the minutest thing. Students who attend regular classes will surely gain good marks from the notes provided by our professors. Every professor is always keen to help every student.
Other: Events and curricular activities are held here regularly, and it is very engaging too.

Our college needs a little improvement in placements and exposure.
Placements: Around 50-60% of the students get placed from college. The salary packages offered were not very high. They were ranging from 4 LPA - 5 LPA. HDFC and a few more companies from the banking sector and corporate sector visited our campus for recruitment. Internships were majorly off-campus. Top roles offered include analyst and consultants.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college were average. Seminar halls were good. The quality of the food served was good. Sports and games are provided. Overall it is a good college, but we need more exposure in economics so that we can apply for better MNCs and have a better experience.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified, and they are hardworking. But we need more professionalism and exposure to real-world. Economics is a very good subject, and it is in demand. So better economics guidance through an internship will give us better knowledge.

The campus is huge, and the faculty are excellent.
Placements: The placements are very good, and they are very useful for the students. I haven't take part in the placement drives yet. But I will take part in the placement process very soon. Around 80% of the students are offered with internships. The placement cell is good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. The campus is old, but it provides all the facilities that the students need. The condition of classrooms and the lights and fans is not good. There is greenery all around the campus. The parking place is huge, and there are different canteens for different departments.
Faculty: The professors are very helpful, well-qualified and knowledgeable. They are very supportive. The curriculum is very useful. They use whiteboards to teach. They use traditional classroom teaching to explain the concepts. Sometimes, they even use projectors to teach. As the teaching staff are highly knowledgeable, the quality of teaching is the best. The college doesn't provide any industry exposure.
Other: The surroundings of the campus are good, and the college offers scholarships. The college also encourages extracurricular activities.

The department of applied economics is good. Loved to be a part of this college.
Placements: The university has a placement cell, and the director is Prof. Madhurima Lall, Ex-HOD of Department of Applied Economics. The placement cell organises several job fairs on a quarterly or half-yearly basis. Many companies like Birla, ICICI, Tata have come in search of job seekers. But only a few students have selected for these job fairs. As the placement cell is in its initial stage, it'll take time to provide more and more jobs to the job seekers as well as students itself. In my opinion, only 1 or 2 students have selected from my seniors and juniors.
Infrastructure: The department of commerce is nearby Tagore library and just in front of the PG block of MA department. The department has its own building and infrastructure with 12 rooms in the department including one auditorium. The Department of Applied economics doesn't have its own toilet or water facility, which is a major drawback. We don't have a canteen. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained. But the electricity feature maybe a disappointing factor for the students, as most of the lights and fans don't work. Overall, the department has a library, 12 rooms, 1 auditorium and 1 conference hall.
Faculty: The faculty of commerce comes under the Department of applied economics. Currently, the dean of the faculty of commerce is Prof. S. K. Shukla, and the HOD of the department of applied economics is Prof. RK Maheshwari. The duration of the course is 2 years, and it is divided into 4 semesters. The criteria for selection in applied economics is very high because it has limited seats. Some of the subjects are Industrial Economics, Applied Economic Analysis, International Trade, EXIM Procedure, Environmental Economics etc.
Other: Generally, the department organises certain international as well as national conferences and seminars to develop overall thinking as well as academic capabilities of the students.
