According to the University of Madras NIRF report, 483 PG 2 year students were placed in 2024 with a median package of INR 4.2 LPA. In PG 3 year program, 7 students got placements with a median salary of INR 4.80 LPA.

As per the Madras University rule book, all students must have 75% and above attendance for appearing for the university exams. (Theory/Practical). If a Student fails to have the minimum attendance, the principal shall approve the shortage of attendance up to a maximum limit of 10% after collecting the prescribed fee of INR 250 each for Theory/Practical exams separately. Anna University releases the TANCET results within a month of the exam date. Soon after the release of the TANCET results, Anna University schedules the release of TANCET scorecard. Candidates can download the TANCET scorecard using the same link within a specified period. After closing of the window to download the scorecard, candidates have to pay a processing fee to get the duplicate TANCET scorecard. TANCET scorecard and hall ticket is required at the time of document verification.

To be eligible for admission in PG Diploma courses in Madras University, aspirants shall have a valid UG Diploma/Bachelor or equivalent degree from UNOM or PG Diploma courses in Madras University, aspirant shall have a valid UG Diploma/Bachelor or equivalent degree from UNOM or from any other university recognised as equivalent thereto. Additionally, the candidate must have studied the relevant subject in the last qualifying examination as per the chosen specialisation. Further, the university accepts applications of only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. The relevant documents for eligibility also have to be presented for verification purposes.

TANCET 2024 was held on March 9 in an offline mode. Whereas, TANCET 2023 exam was conducted on March 25 in an offline mode. Initially, Anna University notified the exam date for TANCET 2023 as February 25 and 26. However, later, a change in exam name for engineering courses was seen, which led to postponement of the TANCET exam date. TANCET M.Tech exam is now known as CEETA PG. However, the website for both TANCET and CEETA PG remains the same, TANCET. Annauniv. Edu.

Madras University average package is not available yet. The median package offered to PG 2 year students in 2024 was INR 4.3 LPA, whereas the median package offered to PG 3 year students was INR 4.8 LPA.
