So the eligibility criteria of minimum aggregate marks in bachelor’s degree is 45% for the minority candidates belonging to Karnataka, as opposed to the minimum aggregate requirement of 50% for all the other candidates.

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), formerly Visveswaraiah Technological University, is a collegiate public state university established by the Government of Karnataka in Belagavi, Karnataka. Except for those that have the consent of VTU and the government's sanction, all colleges in the state of Karnataka that offer engineering or technology education must be affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. Sir M. Visvesvaraya, an Indian civil engineer, statesman, and the 19th Diwan of Mysore, inspired the university's name. Visvesvaraya Technological University has released the third merit list for admission to its various UG and PG programs for the academic session. Visvesvaraya Technological University accepts multiple entrance exams fro BTech. KCET/ COMEDK UGET/ JEE Main are few of the entrance exams for BTech admission. Candidates are required to apply/regiater for the exam by visiting their official website. However, there are a minimum eligibility criteria for the BTech, which candidates must qualify for admission.
