Amul, Metro Dairy, Mother Dairy, Red Cow, Arun Dairy, ITC, Kwality Walls, Bhagirathi Cooperative, Mimul Cooperative, etc. cooperatives and companies give students the chance of internships and if their performance in an internship is good, then they are recruited by the companies. The roles offered in our course by the company depends upon the performance during the interview of the company and internship in the company.
Infrastructure: We have lucrative facilities and infrastructure available for our course and department. We have Wi-Fi, laboratory, classroom and library facilities. In the laboratory, we can use equipment and machines for improving or practical knowledge. From the library, we can issue books, magazines and research papers according to our needs and keep them for 2 to 3 months interchangeably. The quality of the hostel rooms and the food available in the maze and canteen are very good. The medical facility is available in the hostel and on our campus for sports and games; separate common rooms and games rooms and a gym are available; and a university ground is also provided. In the mess, a special arrangement of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes and meals is being arranged by the mess members.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and they are very qualified and quite knowledgeable. Some of them have very appreciable names throughout India. Whenever we face any problem, we are always allowed to go to our respected teacher's room and they are always available to solve our academic and personal problems. Yes, this course in the curriculum is relevant and it makes a student industry-ready by giving hands-on experience of how industry works and our future workings.
Other: Dairy technology is a course that has ample amount of career and future growth. So I chose this course. More practical aspects and knowledge can be given through the 5th deans committee report. Sometimes out-of-syllabus questions are asked in an external exam that can be improved. I am satisfied with taking admission into this university. Placements and infrastructure are good.
Placements: Almost 90 to 95% of the students got placements after completing this course. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Mother Dairy, Amul, Nestle and various types of renowned food sector companies came here for campusing. Our university provides internships to every student who joined this course. After completing B.Tech in dairy technology, many companies recruit us as area sales managers and many other higher-paid posts.
Infrastructure: There are a total of 5 departments in our university, like dairy chemistry, dairy engineering, dairy business management, dairy microbiology and dairy technology. All departments have their well-established labs, and there is no issue with Wi-Fi. Classrooms are well-decorated. There is a library, and there is a huge amount of collection of books. There is a well-decorated hostel, canteen, gym and various kinds of sports and games facilities. The quality of food is very good in our mess.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful, well-qualified and also knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also good. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. They provide a program, and through this program, students get well aware of the industries. Even in the 7th semester, students get a chance to go outside of West Bengal, and they spent 5.5 months to get knowledge about the industries and their works. It is a good initiative from our university. Our faculty members intrude teachers and professors, and they guide students very well. Their teaching experience is also very good.
Other: You can choose this course as it is an evening branch of engineering, and the job opportunities are high in this course.
