Jadavpur University food technology course summary and college life idea.
Placements: About 60% of students got placed in core companies. The highest package is 14 LPA, the lowest package is 2-3 LPA, and the average is about 5-6 LPA offered in our course. Amul, Winkies, and ITC are the top recruiting companies. A solid 80% students got internship opportunities every year.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available on the whole campus. There are a total of 9 canteens, and each hostel has its own separate cooking area. Table tennis, cricket, and football are the most popular sports. The sports culture and fests are the most lovable part of Jadavpur University.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. They are helpful. Exams are tough, and lab faculty members are above average. Minimum 60% marks are required for passing the semester. Each department has its own different set of subjects with different faculty members and a different environment.
Other: This course is good, especially for those candidates who like Biology. Biology and Chemistry are the main subjects in this course. Maths and Physics are not that applicable.

I think my department is easy and provides very good placements.
Placements: Our department students are almost 80 percent placed in our course. In our course, the highest package is 12 lacs, the lowest is 6 lacs, and the average package is 9 lacs. The top-recruiting companies in our course are Mkelly Biotech Pvt Ltd. and AgriVision4Upvt. Ltd. 60 percent of students get internships.
Infrastructure: Our department facilities are really good because there is available Wi-Fi, a digital library and a large room. The class room is so unique. Our department also has a library and a central library. Our hostel is so good here; there are 2 people per room, Wi-Fi is available, food is good and, to mention, hygienic.
Faculty: All our teachers are so friendly; they all helped fully; they are all Ph.D. holders and have five to 10 years of experience; and there degrees are almost all very good. Our department is not the most difficult; during the exam semester in our department, almost all students pass. The pass percentage is 95%.
Other: I want a B.Tech course, then ranked WBJEE and a chance at this course. And I know this university has very good teaching and placement.

I would recommend this college to students.
Placements: Almost 100% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 28 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. The average salary package is 7 LPA. There is high scope of getting internships in this course. Companies like Amul and Coca-Cola visit our college for recruitment.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good. This branch has a separate block of its own. Laboratories and a departmental library are also available, and they are fully air-conditioned. Hostel facilities are good. The food served in the hostel is good. It is safe to stay in the hostels.
Faculty: Our faculty members are helpful and highly qualified. Many have their thesis published as well. Our course curriculum makes students industry-ready. Plenty of opportunities are provided. Semester exams are easy to crack, and students could secure well if they follow all the classes.
Other: I opted for this course, because it is good. Students can get placed in top food companies. There are a lot of opportunities for students to grasp. As per the rankings issued by NIRF Jadavpur ranks 4th in India in university ranking, and 11th in engineering courses. The cultural fest of JU is famously known as Sanskriti. There are a lot of other events and fests as well.

Our college has the best college and the best price.
Placements: Every student was placed in the batch of 2022. In food technology and biochemical engineering. The highest salary package offered was 28 LPA and the average salary package offered here was 7 LPA. Roles offered were software, analyst and core.  Students getting paid internships are less They get a research internship, but that is unpaid.
Infrastructure: There is free 24X7 Wi-Fi available. Hostels are clean. Hostel food is decent according to what they are charging. Hostel charge is zero. Only mess charge is there, which is approximately Rs. 1100. This college is at almost zero cost.
Faculty: There is excellent faculty. Teaching quality is great. Teachers are very supportive. Semester exams are actually a little difficult. It makes students industry-ready. Teachers frequently say that when you go to work, this or that will be useful.

Absolutely satisfied with the university, and the placements are getting better with each year.
Placements: Almost everyone gets placed every year. The rest of the students go for higher studies. In the current year, the highest package offered in my branch is 35 LPA, and the lowest package is 6 LPA. Many companies like Kingfisher, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, ITC and many other come here.
Infrastructure: You get almost everything you need. I don't know how many colleges or universities help UG students in research works. The labs are pretty decent. The infrastructure is world-class, no doubt. You can get a high-paid internship in your 3rd year.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. Semester exams are difficult. Being an autonomous university, our teachers set the question papers, and the semester exams are difficult. The course makes students industry-ready. The teaching quality is topnotch.
Other: In packaging technology, I had to choose from food and printing, and I have much curiosity about food. So, I chose it.

A good college to purse engineering with low fee structure.
Placements: The placements provided in our college are average. Only a few students got placed in core companies, and the remaining students got placed in IT and consultancy companies. The highest package offered was Rs. 7 LPA. ITC, Pernod Ricard, Infosys, Aakash, Unibourne, Mondelez and Zycus were the main recruiters. 71% of the students attended placements and got placed. Many students got two offers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The labs are quite good, and the classrooms are well-ventilated. The library has a huge stock of academic books and journals. Sports and debating societies are one of the best parts of the university. Sports facilities like basketball, cricket, football, table tennis and carrom are available. There are 9 canteens in the college.
Faculty: The faculty members are excellent. The course curriculum is well designed and detailed. The college conducts seminars and organises industry/company visits to provide exposure. Students have to work on projects. Industry exposure provided was a bit less. Students have to get internships on their own. The faculty members have immense knowledge.
Other: Events and fests conducted in the college are excellent. Sanskriti is the cultural fest celebrated at the time of Durga Puja in March.

Excellence in education, practical knowledge as well as placements.
Placements: Placements in JU BE FTBE are like any other core stream at Jadavpur University. The highest package offered by companies goes up to 9 LPA (and increasing every year). As far as placement percentage is concerned, it is 100%. Every single student from the previous passout batch was placed. Companies include leading soft drink brands, chocolate brands, Imdian as well as globally based MNCs, etc. Many of our seniors also opted for higher studies and inclined towards research work. The research scenario in Food Technology as well as biochemical engineering here is excellent. Internships are allotted to all the students as a part of the UG3 course. Stipends vary according to company, workload and whether it is an internship or training. Every internship and training overs an overall development and provides a deep insight into the course practically.
Infrastructure: Labs: The laboratories in the department include: Food process lab Food analysis lab Food chemistry lab Fermentation lab Microbiology lab Engineering lab Research lab At each lab, it is ensured that the student is able to apply theoretical knowledge from classrooms practically. He or she is prepared for Research and Development work in companies as well as in scientific innovations. The departmental library as well as central library ensure that you have all the books you need to gain knowledge. 7 canteens in JU are well known not only among students of this University but also outside. The canteens have featured in numerous articles and newspapers.
Faculty: The teachers at this department will ensure that you get whatever help you need. Any extra knowledge, any doubt clearing or any other issues, the highly qualified and knowledgeable teaching faculty will leave no stone unturned to help you. Industrial visits ensure that the students get adequate exposure to industries and are well acquainted with practical applications of the course. The course curriculum is easily the best in this field as it covers all topics and ensures that no area related to food technology and biochemical engineering is left out.
Other: The campus life in JU is known by all. Apart from being very relaxing and fun, the number of co curricular activities you can participate are unlimited and there is something fir everyone here. A great ambience ensures you have a great time with friends and lush green surroundings provide a great cjange from the dusty and polluted roads of the city. Scholarship is provided to students who need but with a minimal fee of Rs.200 per month, it is truly an example of making education affordable to all.
