CEPT University selection criteria is both merit and entrance-based. For MArch, the selection criteria is merit-based. CEPT University offers MArch course in full-time mode. The course is offered in the stream of Architecture and Planning, Design, Humanities and Social Science. Programmes like MBA, the university requires a valid score CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/ ATMA/GMAT/CUET (PG).  Candidates without national-level entrance exam scores shall be required to undertake the CEPT Test conducted by CEPT University.

Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology University (CEPT) in Ahmedabad has 1,944 students. The university has a 16.41 acre campus and 112 faculty members. The gender percentage is 37% male and 63% female. 

CEPT offers 23 courses across five streams. The total number of students placed in the UG programme is 15, with a median salary of INR 5.45 LPA. The total number of students placed in the PG programme is 50, with a median salary of INR 5.20 LPA. 

The number of women pursuing B.Tech courses has doubled in five years. According to the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2019-20 data, women opting for B.Tech courses went up from 8 per cent in 2016 to 19.72 per cent in 2021.

CEPT University application fee varies depending on the course. For each undergraduate course such as BTech (Hons), BArch and BDes (Hons), the application fee is INR 1.5K. For the postgraduate applications, the fee is INR 3.5K for the first application and INR 1K for every subsequent application. Students can pay the fee after filling out the application form.
