Anna University Semester, Revaluation, and Evaluation Result 2020

Anna University has announced semester and revaluation results for all of its UG and PG programmes. The results are declared on the following websites www.coe1.annauniver.edu, www.coe2.annauniv.edu, and www.annaunive.edu. The University conducts odd semester examination in November or December and even semester examination in May or June every year and the results are declared within a month of exam completion. Students, in order to pass the semester examination, should have scored at least 50 per cent aggregate in theory and practical combined. In theory exams, students should score a minimum of 45 per cent, and at least 14 marks in practical to pass the examination.

Anna University has released results for various programmes such as BE, BTech, BArch, ME, MTech, MArch, MSc, MBA, MCA, etc. The University announces result for both University Department Examination (UDE) and Affiliated College Examination (ACE). The semester examination is controlled by the Controller of Examination (COE). Students must have a valid registration number and date of birth to check their results. Steps to check Anna University Semester Result on Desktop

Students should follow the below steps to get their results from the official website:

Step I: Visit the official website, www.annauniv.edu

Step II: In the ‘News’ section, click on ‘Results’ tab

Step III: Click on the appropriate link, you will be redirected to COE portal

Step IV: Click on relevant exam link and enter your registration number, DOB, captcha code and click on ‘Login’

Anna University Marksheet 2020

The University releases provisional result online. After the result declaration, the University sends the marksheet to the affiliated colleges. Students can collect their semester/ annual marksheet from their respective college office. The marksheet consists of the following information:

  • Name of the student
  • Registration no.
  • Branch name
  • Subject code
  • Grade obtained
  • Result status (Pass/Fail)

Anna University Revaluation 2020

Students, who have failed or are not satisfied with the results, can apply for revaluation. To apply for revaluation, students need to download the revaluation form from the official website of the University. Fill the revaluation form and pay the revaluation fee of Rs 700 (per paper) to the COE within the prescribed date.
Anna University revaluation results are declared through the University COE portal.

Anna University Examination Format and Evaluation Scheme

Anna University COE conducts three Internal Assessment Exams (IAE) and one End Semester Exams (ESE). For IAE, 20 marks are distributed in two segments in which five marks are allotted for attendance and rest 15 marks are allotted for student’s performance in internal exams. The ESE scores, which is out of 100 Maximum Marks (MM) are converted into out of 80 MM and added with internal marks to give a total student’s score out of 100. Students get a final grade and grade point as per their corresponding score shown below:
