Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has 598 affiliated colleges under its name. The university as a whole offers 16 UG, PG & PhD courses across numerous specialisations and streams. The university follows the semester exam scheme for most of the courses, these are conducted every six months. The academic session commences in the month of August so the first semester examinations are usually expected to be held between November and December, results for these are declared in the month of February (tentatively). In the second semester onwards, students follow the even semester curriculum. The exam for the even semester commences in the month of April and May and the results are declared in the month of June (tentatively). The results are published only on the official website of the university. Once the results are declared, the university also publishes the merit list and toppers list of the final year students.

AKTU BTech Result 2020 

AKTU has declared the odd semester result along with the merit list of the students for the BTech programme on 18th February 2020. Here are some simple steps to check your result using your mobile browser. Students should note that the process of checking the result though the desktop browser is slightly different from the ones that are mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the AKTU official website (https://aktu.ac.in/)

Step 2: Scroll down to the student section on the homepage

Step 3: Now click on the ‘AKTU One View‘ tab

Step 4: Log in with your roll number and click on the search button
AKTU Result Login Page

Step 5: The semester score along with the result status will get displayed on the screen

Step 6: Candidates can now download the result or take a printout of the same for future reference

AKTU Evaluation Process 2020

AKTU evaluates the semester results based on four parameters:

  • Internal Assessment: The internal assessment evaluation is focused on class tests, assignment/ tutorials, quizzes/ viva-voce and attendance
  • Sessional Marks: The sessional marks are awarded at the end of the semester depending upon the candidate’s average score in two 30-mark sessional exams conducted internally by the colleges prior to the semester examination
  • Practical Papers: The practical paper marks are assigned based on the candidate’s performance in theory and practical knowledge about the subject followed by a verbal test of the practical performed
  • Written Papers: The written papers are the semester examinations that happen twice a year

Criteria for semester evaluation:

The distribution of marks for sessionals, end semester theory papers, practical and other examinations like seminars, projects, industrial training and general efficiency shall be as listed below:

  • A student who scores A+ to E shall be considered as passed. If a student secured “F” grade, the candidate has to reappear for the examination
  • For a pass in a theory subject, a student has to secure a minimum of 30% aggregate of the maximum marks prescribed in the university examination and 40% aggregate in the subject including sessional marks
  • For a pass in a project reports/ viva-voce examination/ comprehensive viva voce, a student shall secure a minimum of 50% aggregate prescribed by the university examination
  • A student who does not satisfy point 1 or the student who remains absent shall be deemed to have failed in that subject and may reappear for the university examination in the subsequent examinations
  • In case a student has reappeared for an exam, the sessional marks awarded to the student in the previous attempt in the concerned subject will be carried forward to the reappearing exam
  • AKTU score cards are in the form of CGPA & SGPA. These are explained as under:

The ratio of total credit points earned by a student in various courses in all semesters and the sum of the total credits of all courses in all the semesters

SGPA

The ratio of total credit points secured by a student in various courses registered in a semester and the total course credits taken during that semester

Criteria for yearly evaluation:

AKTU follows a credit-based system while promoting a student to the next year of the course. Credit is assigned to a subject based on the number of hours of teaching required for that subject. For promotion from the first year to the second year, a student has to secure a minimum of including theory and practical credits for both the semesters. 

AKTU Marksheet 2020

Students need to collect their mark sheets from their respective colleges once the result is declared. The mark sheet of AKTU consists of the following information:

  • Name of student
  • Year, semester and session details
  • Students’ roll number and enrollment number
  • Name of subjects, subject codes, maximum marks allotted to each subject and minimum marks required to pass
  • Marks scored in each subject
  • CGPA, SGPA
  • Result status (Pass/Fail)
  • Reappear (if any)
  • Result declaration date

AKTU Revaluation 2020

For students who are not satisfied with their results of the current semester and want revaluation can fill the AKTU scrutiny or the challenge form to get their score car revaluated. The fee for the scrutiny form is Rs 500 while the challenging form is Rs 5000.

  • Scrutiny: AKTU will only do re-totaling of marks. The fee for the same is Rs 500
  • Challenge evaluation: Without considering previous marks, AKTU checks the copy of the student again. The fee for the same is Rs 5000

Steps for scrutiny/ re-evaluation challenge:

Step 1: Visit the official website of AKTU (https://aktu.ac.in/)

Step 2: Click on ‘AKTU ERP’ available on the extreme left corner of the page

Step 3: The login page opens up wherein you need to fill up your login details which is your university roll number and password. In case you do not know your password, you can obtain it from the college examination cell

Step 4: Click on ‘Evaluation’ and then hit the ‘Challenge & Scrutiny’ option and then finally click on the ‘Go’ button

Step 5: The registration form opens up wherein you need to select the paper type (regular/ carry over) and choose between scrutiny and challenge evaluation and hit the search button

Step 6: Choose the subject you wish to scrutinize or re-evaluate. You can even choose multiple subjects

Step 7: Now add the payment details and hit the submit button
