University Organises Educational Visit to Mother Dairy Plant

December 27, 2019: Students from the first year from Galgotias University visited Mother Dairy’s Delhi manufacturing unit for an industrial tour. Students centered on the different processing methods used in the preparation, packaging and storage of milk and milk products. The goal was to provide students with insights into Mother Dairy's internal operations and to provide students with practical learning through experiences on dairy selection, transportation, testing, processing, and other dairy products.

Dean, School of Agriculture Participate in Advanced Technology Programme

December 6, 2019: The Dean of School of Agriculture at Galgotias University, Dr Ganesh Datt Bhatt participated in Advanced Technology Programme in Delhi. The focus of the programme was on the Global Digital Pathway dialogue for Indian Agriculture. The programme was a result of joint efforts by Confederation of Indian Industry and Food & Agriculture Center of Excellence (CII-FACE). This development initiative highlighted the advancement of innovations that have changed the agricultural sector around the world and its particular significance in the Indian farming system. It also focused on the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data and the Internet of Things, smart agriculture practices using satellite and remote sensing technologies, soil moisture and advanced sensors that generate value for all segments of the soil and robotics industry, and thus lead to an overall improvement in performance.

University Hosts Dexterix 2.0 Hackathon

November 23, 2019: The School of Computing Science (SCSE) at Galgotias University organised Annual Hackathon Event-Dexterix 2.0 in association with TechnoJam and University Students Council. The idea is to foster creativity and collaboration and encourage students to put their theoretical knowledge to practice by addressing some of the most exciting challenges that exist around us. This can be achieved by the development of innovative products through study of environment around. Event focused on different themes such as Agriculture that includes soil health monitoring system, crop quality checking and suggestion system, Decision support system for crops and soil, and Improving farmer conditions; Healthcare that includes Mental Health Monitoring System, Decision Support for Complicated Situations, Decentralized System for patient monitoring, and AI predictive system for early disease identification; Drones that includes Surveillance System, Smart city monitoring, Autonomous Delivery, and Autonomous Cooperative drone swarm; Futuristic Transportation that includes Greener Transportation, Self-driven public transport, and Efficient Transportation using smart roads; and, Social Goods that includes Security awareness for people, System for women's safety, and Application to improve social services
