Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science hosts Zonal Jury of COA National Awards
School of Architecture, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai has hosted the prestigious Zonal Jury of COA National Awards for Excellence in Architectural Thesis and Documentation of Architectural Heritage 2019 in collaboration with COA-TRC from 16th to 18th September 2019.
Students pursuing their undergraduate studies in architecture from colleges in India recognised by COA have participated in the event. The competition is an annual event and an initiative to identify the best thesis projects of India in each academic year challenging student’s imaginative ideas and creativity.
The awards program showcased the best design works from across the country and create a better appreciation of architectural design concerns by making it a public event where stalwarts from the field of architecture choose the winners, in an open Jury attended by the general public. The award will bring pride, glory, and enthusiasm for the students and colleges of architecture and simultaneously act as a public awareness event to promote the subject of Architecture.
The shortlisted 10 entries in Zonal Jury will be allowed for presentation on the 18th September 2019. The two selected best projects at the zonal level will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.10,000 each. The awards were conducted at two levels – Zonal and National Level. The Zonal Jury being hosted by the School of Architecture,
Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science - HITS is inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr.Ranee Vedamuthu, Member COA and Guest of HonourAr.G. Jayalakshmi followed by the opening of the exhibition of all entries received from various institutions.
