Hostel facilities at IIM Raipur

Every graduate who is studying abroad in a country other than their own regards their hostel as their second home. As a result, IIM Raipur consists of an academic block that is made up of one gigantic building, followed by a hostel block that contains roughly five to six buildings. Additionally, the director's home is separated from the rest of the house. Eight to ten structures have been allocated as housing for faculty and employees only. The medical centre is housed in a single structure that has a designated block for it. There is a separate, standalone building where the auditorium is located.

Hostel

There are six hostel buildings on the IIM Raipur campus, and each one can house more than 140 students. There are only a few double-occupancy rooms for PGP students. The rest of them have to live in single-occupancy rooms. Both men and women are affected by the problem in the same way. There are six blocks that are under use right now. All six hostels are gender neutral and hence allotted on a first come, first served basis. Students in the ePGP programme and those in the scholar programme at the institute have access to different buildings. The fact that there are two washing machines on each floor is a really appreciable strata of the hostel. In addition to these things, laundry services are priced fairly lower. Because of the purpose of recreational activities, a swimming pool is also available for PGP 2nd year students.

Facilities

The IIM Raipur hostel is situated on a vast campus that is covered in verdant vegetation and spans close to 2 acres in total area. Aside from that, the facilities include well-equipped sporting facilities, both indoor and outdoor. In addition to these attractions, the campus also possesses a gymnasium that is accessible to both male and female students. Trainers are also offered, and there is no additional cost associated with using them. The term costs cover the whole cost of these amenities and all of the charges that are linked to them. Also, a 24x7 RO water facility is available for students. Since the college is located far away from the campus, the night canteen is open late at night for students, as no food aggregator delivers food to the campus.

Mess

Because students are the foundation of Mess, the student council makes important decisions about the numerous events. A special committee called the "Hostel & Mess Committee" (HMC) is formed to monitor all of the daily tasks required for the hostel and mess to operate properly. After talking with all of the other students present, the HMC chooses the meal. As a result, the menu is regularly revised, roughly every 35 to 45 days. Mess fees are extra charges that are not included in the term fees. These are charged at the end of each month and are fully determined by a number of variables. Aside from that, there is a canteen where students can get their fill of whatever they want. The canteen is open from the early hours of the morning until late at night.

Any campus's dormitory life remains one of the most exciting aspects of a student's life, and IIM Raipur's senior administration is eager to make it even more interesting—but not at the price of academics, but rather by expanding the variety of extracurricular activities available to students.
