Interview Experiences in Brainware University
Students should appear in all the stages/ rounds conducted by the company if they opt for recruiting process of that company.
It is well known that job recruiters conduct interview rounds to hire candidates. This process helps recruiters to evaluate the skills and abilities of the candidates appearing in a one-to-one medium. The process of interview is a mandatory measure that takes place in recruiting process of campus placements as well.
Brainware University conducts campus placements every year where numerous companies & organisations from various disciplines take part to select deserving candidates. The campus placement includes an extensive process.
Placement Process at Brainware University
The university conducts Pre-Placement Training for those students, who show their interest in the university placement services. It is a thorough training program that the university conducts to make the students corporate ready and to enhance their existing skillsets. Once the training stage is completed, the placement process starts.
The placement process goes on in the following manner:
- In the student forum, the university publishes Pre-Placement Talks (PPT), which students can access by visiting the 'notice' section of the placement page.
- Details regarding salary break-up, job profile, place of work etc. of the companies are provided in the Pre-Placement Talks (PPT).
- If a student is interested in a company, he/ she must have to attend the Pre-Placement Talks of the respective company. Failure to do so is treated as absenteeism and therefore results in disqualification.
- Students are advised to clear out all their doubts in regards of salary break-up, job profile etc. with the companies during PPT.
- Students must take care of having sufficient number of photocopies of their ID card, original mark sheets and their copies, copies of CVs, passport-size photographs, grade cards, certificates etc.
- Students should appear in all the stages/ rounds conducted by the company if they opt for recruiting process of that company.
Rounds in the Interview Process
The interview process conducted by the recruiters in Brainware University is very rigorous so that only the best candidates are selected by the employers.
The process consists of a total number of five rounds. These rounds are:
- Aptitude Test
- Group Discussion/ Extempore
- Technical written test/ Machine test
- Psychometric Test
- Personal Interview
In these rounds, the number of candidates advancing to the next round gets restricted with each round. Therefore, making the total strength of candidates less than half that of the originally enrolled candidates.
While all the other rounds are equally important but the final round i.e., the Personal Interview (PI) round is the most crucial because only the PI round decides whether a candidate will be hired or not.
Personal Interview
In this round, recruiters interact with the students one-on-one to evaluate their skills, knowledge, perception, attitude, mindset etc. and decide whether the appearing student is fit for the job or not.
During the interview, questions are asked related to the discipline of the students, their knowledge regarding technicality of the field, awareness of the working environment of the job in the country as well as outside the country, recent developments and innovation in the relevant field. After evaluating the candidates regarding the technical aspects of the field, the interviewers evaluate their attitude and passion towards the job, their mindset and how they may take decisions in certain situations or problems.
There is no fixed number of questions or duration for the Personal Interview rounds, as they may continue as long as the interviewers are not satisfied with the outcome of a candidate.
Hence, even if the placement process or interview process is rigorous and thorough, students at Brainware University excel in bagging jobs due to the immense support and assistance they get from the C2C Team (Campus to Corporate) and their services.
