Admission to this course is offered based on the entrance exam conducted by the university, i.e. JMI Entrance Eest. Jamia Millia Islamia offers seat reservation in almost all the courses based on the category of the students. The details regarding the same are enlisted below:

- NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers will be eligible for a relaxation of 5% and 2%, respectively in the aggregate of the qualifying examination.

- SC/ST/OBC Scholarship: This scholarship is given to the reserved category candidates. Economically weak candidates are also eligible for this scholarship.
- Scholarship for International Exchange Programme: Candidates who are selected for the International Exchange Programme are eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is offered by the Centre for Management Studies.

If you belong to the General, PWD, AI category, then according to the JMI CUET cutoff 2025, a score of 112 would not give you a seat for the B.Sc Biotechnology course.
