Lovely Professional University Distance Education (LPUDE) is the distance education department of LPU, located in Jalandhar, Punjab. This distance learning centre is recognised by the UGC Distance Education Bureau to offer programmes via open and distance learning. LPUDE currently offers a range of UG and programmes in the field of Management, Commerce, Arts, Library Sciences and Computers & IT such as BBA, BCom, BCA, BSc (IT), MA, MBA, MCA and MSc (IT), among others.

LPUDE UG Admission 2021

At the UG level, LPU offers BBA, BCom, B.Lib.I.Sc, BA, BCA and BSc (IT) programmes via distance education. All these courses have a set minimum and maximum duration, within which it is compulsory for students to finish their course. A few courses also have a provision of lateral entry admission for students having a valid diploma as their qualification. Detailed LPU admission process for all these courses is as follows:

LPUDE BA Admission 2021

In the field of Arts, LPUDE offers BA programme to its students under nine specialisations. The minimum duration for this course is three years, however, candidates have an option to complete this course within a maximum duration of six years. The eligibility criteria along with the name of specialisations is mentioned below:

Eligibility criteria: A pass in Class 12 from any stream or equivalent.

LPUDE Admission 2021: BBA, BCom, B.Lib.I.Sc

The distance education department of Lovely Professional University offers BBA, BCom and B.Lib.I.Sc programmes at the UG level in the field of Management, Commerce and Library Sciences. LPU admissions to all these courses are merit-based. Candidates, for BBA admission, having a relevant diploma can also take direct admission to the second year via lateral entry.

LPUDE Admission 2021: BCA, BSc (IT)

In addition to the above-mentioned UG programmes, LPUDE also offers BCA and BSc (IT) programmes in the field of Computers and IT via distance education. Candidates having a relevant diploma can also opt for lateral entry admissions to these courses. LPU admission 2021 for these courses is granted on the basis of merit scores in the qualifying exam.

LPUDE PG Admission 2021

At the PG level, LPUDE offers a number of programmes across multiple streams such as Management, Arts, Commerce, Library Sciences and Computers & IT. All these programmes have a set minimum and maximum duration, within which it is compulsory for students to finish their course. LPUDE Admission 2021: MBA, MCom, M.Lib.I.Sc

LPU Distance Education department offers MBA, MCom and M.Lib.I.Sc programmes in the field of Management, Commerce and Library Sciences, respecitvely. Candidates seeking admission to these courses are selected on the basis of merit scores in their qualifying exam.

LPUDE Admission 2021: MCA, MSc (IT)

At the PG level, the distance education department of LPU offers MCA and MSc (IT) programme in the field of Computers and IT, respectively. Those with a valid diploma can also take lateral entry admission to both these programmes. LPU admission 2021 to these courses is subject to merit scores in the last qualifying exam.

LPUDE MA Admission 2021

LPUDE offers MA programme in the field of Arts at the PG level. Available in eight specialisations, the minimum duration for this course is two years. Candidates, however, have an option to complete their course within a maximum duration of five years. The final selection to MA is based on merit scores in the last qualifying exam.

Eligibility criteria: Candidates must have a graduation degree in any disciple or equivalent to become eligibility for MA.

LPUDE Admission 2021: Diploma, PG Diploma

In addition to the UG and PG programmes, LPU also offers a few Diploma and PG Diploma programmes via distance education. The minimum duration for all these courses is one-year, however, candidates are given an option to complete their course in a maximum duration of three years. Admission to all these courses is subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criteria and obtaining merit scores in the last qualifying exam.

LPUDE Application Process 2021

Candidates seeking enrolment to LPUDE are required to avail the prospectus from the division of admission at the University campus or download the same from the official website of LPUDE (www.lpude.in) on payment of Rs 350 which is the application form/ prospectus cost. After obtaining the application form, candidates must follow the steps for the complete LPUDE application process:

Step 1: Fill in the application form. It is mandatory to fill all the columns in the form and ‘NA’ must be written if any field is not applicable.

Step 2: Submit the application form and fee, as per the admission schedule mentioned in the prospectus or the website or otherwise announced by the University.

Step 3: Completed application form must be submitted:

• In-person at the division of admission at the University campus
• Locations specified by the University
• Via registered post to the below address

List of documents to be attached with the application form

Candidates are required to attach the following self-attested documents with the application form. Also, they must make sure that they are able to present all the original copies of the documents attached during verification at the time of admission. 

• Photocopy of Class 10 or equivalent certificate for DOB proof
• Photocopy of mark sheets of Class 10, Class 12 or graduation (as applicable)
• Valid ID proof with photograph issued by the government and residential proof
• Photocopy of disability certificate/ employment certificate/ service proof in case of Defence or paramilitary forces (if applicable)
• Undertaking in case of any pendency (result awaited/ reappear/ backlog or others)
• Two passport-size colored photographs (apart from the one attached on the application form)
• Gap certificate (if applicable)
• DD of the prescribed (in prospectus) application fee
