LPU engineering student bags Rs 42-lakh job at Microsoft

Tanya Arora, a final year Computer Science Engineering student at the LPU - Lovely Professional University, had bagged the highest job offer received by an engineering fresher in 2019.

Tanya Arora, a final year Computer Science Engineering student at the Lovely Professional University (LPU) has bagged a Rs 42-lakh-per-annum job offer from technology giant Microsoft. She has been offered a role of a software engineer at Microsoft’s R&D Centre in India’s Hyderabad.

Arora’s offer is being considered as the highest compensation offered to an engineering fresher in 2019.

“I am excited to get the opportunity to work at Microsoft. I did my summer internship at the company and had a great experience. To now get selected as a member of the Microsoft team is a dream come true. I have always had a deep interest in technology and have worked hard to stay on top of emerging trends such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning. I have benefitted immensely from my peers at LPU, several of whom are equally technology savvy. I am also thankful to my alma mater, Lovely Professional University that provided an invigorating and career-focused learning environment and my teachers and mentors who helped me at every turn”, said Arora.
