Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research Conducts 14^th Convocation

November 25, 2020: Tamil Nadu-based Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research recently concluded its 14^th Convocation ceremony on November 25, 2020. The institute invited leading General and Vascular Therapist Dr CMK Reddy as the chief guest of the event. He underlined in his speech that true education is to teach students love rather than a competitive mindset. If any student understands and teaches that it can create a positive transformation in society, he said, each student is special, inculcating a culture of creativity.

It is commendable to fight for the service provided by students using modern, appropriate medical techniques during the epidemic. It is time to realise that the medical field is a sacred service rather than commercialisation. He also called on medical students to cultivate qualities such as compassion, social awareness and positive thinking.

During the ceremony, University Rector Jayanthi Radhakrishnan addressed the audience saying Meenakshi Academy of Research and Education has its own colleges of General Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Engineering and others, and it was started with the aim of providing poor and middle-class students with higher education and it is still being continued.  She also emphasised that the curriculum for building technical workers must give priority to them. 

Vice-Chancellor Dr Neelakandan listed the achievements of MAHER during the 2019-2020 academic year. The service offered to the public during Corona pandemic by the University Administration, Teachers and students were also highlighted.

At this convocation ceremony, over 35 graduands received their degree and 63 students graduated with medals and followed by the awarding of Bachelor's and Master's degrees to 975 students through virtual mode.
