NIT Andhra Pradesh collaborates with industry partners to boost secure satellite communications
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Andhra Pradesh has signed agreements with key industry partners for mobile satellite communications, semiconductor design and power quality in renewable technology.
The institute signed deals with Scarlet, InstaSine and Bitsilica. One of the key areas of the collaboration with Scarlet is on creating secure communications and preventing any unauthorised access. The areas of collaboration with InstaSine and Bitsilica is on power quality enhancement in renewable energy systems and semiconductor design, respectively.
The agreements were signed by Sreeram MM, Managing Director, Scarlet Industries, Bhaskar Kakani, Chief Executive Officer, Bitsilica, Prof CSP Rao, Director, NIT Andhra Pradesh, and Dr Bharath Ambati, Director and Co-Founder, InstaSine Power Technologies Private Limited.

Free internships for NIT Andhra Pradesh students
The three industry partners will offer free internships for NIT Andhra Pradesh students and will explore bringing in the MTech and PhD students on to their respective firms’ R&D facility. Based on their requirements, the companies would also recruit final-year BTech students of NIT Andhra Pradesh for their facilities and/or their sister concerns effective from the 2021-22 academic year.

Prof CSP Rao, Director, NIT Andhra Pradesh said, "These collaborations will benefit both the industries and the institute. We have talented faculty, highly motivated students and good collaborative partners. The kind of benefit we are looking for is the creation of training facilities for our students and encourage the students to emulate the industry founders.”
He said, “Training in the industry is important as per the New Education Policy as well; we send our students for one-month industry training. For the benefit of the working people of MoU-linked industry, NIT Andhra Pradesh is made a provision to enrol for MS, MTech or PhD programs and can complete their studies even while working.”
Key outcomes expected from agreements
- It will help to take up joint research projects from sponsored and government-funded organisations.
- It will help to offer the expertise and capacities for mutual exploitation to develop new technology for the nation.
- It will increase core company placement opportunities.

No, you will not be able to get MSc in Data Science if you belong to the General, OBC, ST or the EWS categories, as the NIT Andhra Pradesh CCMN Cutoff 2025 was much lower than 7K.
However, ST AI category students can get admission, as the last round cutoff was 7025.
