At the conclusion of the 'Day One' process, the four major IT companies have made a record 4,749 offers to students from the graduation class of 2020 at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology breaching last year’s 3020 offers for 2019 pass outs.

Microsoft has come up with the highest offer for students of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. The highest package offered was 41.6 lakhs per annum. Other than that, more than 120 companies have visited the campus this year since the commencement of the placement season on July 22 and have made close to 6000 offers as on date. Top recruiters this year include Amazon (18 offers of 32 lakhs per annum), Barclays (25 offers of 10 lakhs per annum) and startup Udaan (4 offers of 30 lakhs per annum. Besides, organisations like Veritas and Pay Pal have made internship offers whereby selected students would work in the companies during the final semester with a good chance of bagging offers.

The centralised placement process organised at Kattankulathur campus brings students from SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST) campuses including Modinagar, Ramapuram and Vadapalani, said, Sriram Padmanabhan. He also said that the top companies are drawn to SRM IST due to the cosmopolitan composition of the students have been made, the beneficiary students are removed from the placement list to make way for other students aspiring for jobs.
