Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMUN) started its journey in 1994 as a separate unit of Marathwada University. It is named after the religious teacher, educationist, and social activist Swami Ramanand Teerth. Its primary aim is the dissemination of education especially among the people of the districts of Nanded, Latur, Parbhani and Hingoli.
