Department of Commerce and Business Management:

The following are the programmes which are at present under the department of commerce and business management.

  1. Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Hons
  2. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  3. Sc. (Hons) in Economics
  4. Master of Commerce (M.Com)
  5. Master of Business Administration (MBA)

All of the UG programmes mentioned above last for three years, while PG programmes like MBA and M.Com are two years long.

Eligibility criteria for UG programmes in Commerce and Business Management:

A candidate should have passed 10+2 with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent. Eligibility criteria for PG programmes in Commerce and Business Management:  

M.Com: A Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Regular, Honours, Professional)/Business Administration/Accounts or equivalent course. A candidate should have at least 50% marks in the mentioned qualifications.

MBA: To be admitted to an MBA course, a bachelor's degree in any stream of Arts, Science, or Commerce or equivalent is required. A candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in the mentioned qualifications.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.): This opportunity is available in various fields related to

Commerce and Business Management. Masters in Commerce or Business Management with 55% marks. The candidate has to pass the entrance test to be admitted to the Ph.D. program.

Medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction for all the above programmes is the English language.

The following are the courses offered by the Department of Electrical Engineering:

  1. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering
  2. Master of Technology (M.Tech)
  3. Master of Technology (M.Tech) Solar Power Systems

Duration:

For B.Tech, the duration is four years. For those who gain admission through lateral entry, the duration of B.Tech is three years. The duration of M.Tech (full time) is two years.

Eligibility:

B.Tech: A candidate should have passed the 10+2 examinations with Physics and Mathematics as their main and compulsory subjects. Along with Physics and Mathematics, the candidate should have one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational subjects. Applicants should have at least 45% of the minimum marks in 10th grade.

B.Tech (Lateral Entry): Applicants must hold a diploma in Engineering or Technology from an AICTE-approved institution. Alternatively, a candidate must hold a B.Sc. degree from a UGCaccredited university. Candidates must have earned a B.Sc. degree from a UGC-accredited university with at least 45% marks.

M.Tech: Candidates must have a B.Tech or equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% marks.

Medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction for all the above programmes is the English language.

Courses in Computer Science and Engineering:

  1. Tech (Bachelor of Technology)
  2. Master of Technology (M. Tech)

For B.Tech, the duration is four years. For those who gain admission through lateral entry, the duration of B.Tech is three years. For M.Tech (full time), the duration is two years. The Ph.D. programme is also available, and the duration is set by the UGC.

Eligibility:

recognised university as defined by the UGC, with at least 45% marks.

M.Tech: The candidate must have a minimum of a 50% average in B.Tech or an equivalent discipline.

The medium of instruction for all the above courses under Computer Science and Engineering would be English.
