Q: What is the eligibility criteria to get admission in an MBA programme at LPU?

A: Pass with 50 per cent aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or CAT or XAT or MAT or CMAT and Interview or Completed Company Secretary (CS) from Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or Completed Chartered Accountancy (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or Completed Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA) from Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI). There is a five per cent relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.

Q: What is the fee structure and scholarships available for students planning to get admission in MBA at LPU?

A: Basic fee of the MBA programme is Rs 1,25,000. On the other hand, scholarships is based on the marks scored in graduation. The university has set up a separate loan assistance cell to enable the students, at the time of admission, to obtain loans from banks with which the university has tie ups. Students can avail Education Loan Facility in the first year as well as in the subsequent years

Q: What is the process to get admission to the MBA programme at LPU?

A: There are three ways in which a student can take admission in LPU, which are given below:

  • You can take admission online by visiting our website www.lpu.in
  • You can take admission by visiting our campus.
  • You can take admission by visiting our counselling office in your town.

Q: What is the student intake in MBA programmes at LPU?

A: We take about 30 students in the honours programme and over 480 in MBA courses.

Q: What are the placement opportunities after completing MBA at the LPU?

A: LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placement. Rankings: The University has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students.

Several big brands of the industry visit LPU during academic sessions for campus placements, students’ training/workshops, faculty development, etc. Around 550 companies visit every year for such activities and campus-recruitment of students from LPU. And this year for batch graduating in 2019, over 650 placement/internship drives were conducted in February with leading industry giants (more than 90 per cent being multinational companies). The highest package goes upto Rs 19.75 lakh per annum.

Apart of placement of students in India, LPU also makes efforts for placing International students around their home locations or placing Indian students abroad. To share a few names, LPU students have secured international placement offers from MNCs like Voltas International (Muscat), P&O Cruise (USA), Hettich (APAC), Wilmar International (EMEA), Diyar Infotech (Mid-East), Al Thiqa Restaurant Co (Mid East), Zamil Infra (EMEA) and others with a highest package up to 11 LPA.

Q: What are some of the top rankings where LPU has featured?

A: LPU has received the Golden Star Award 2018 for being University with Best Placements in India. It has been recognised as having Highest Placement Record in North India, 2018 and

ranked among top 10 colleges for placement in 2017 by Business and Management Chronicle. It is also ranked 19th in India’s Leading Top 50 B-Schools by India Business Journal.

Q: What makes LPU different from other universities in the country?

A: LPU is one of the largest universities in the country that has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Program (ACBSP). It offers a contemporary curriculum, industrial tie ups, industry-related workshops, entrepreneurship projects, community development projects and software skills. The university aims to provide holistic development to its students.
