Best university in Punjab.
Placements: Thapar University is one of the best private universities in Punjab. It is known for its decent placement record and education. At the end of 4th semester, students are eligible for internships. There are a lot of internship opportunities for those students who have skills and interests. In the final year of your course, you are eligible for placements in on-campus drive. Many companies visited colleges like Accenture, Deloitte, Amazon, and many more. Approximately 98% of students get placed in on-campus placement drives. The highest package is 65 LPA, and the lowest salary is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing and very modern. The building is very well built with facilities such as numerous labs with computers with required specifications as per the courses. It has 24X7 Wi-Fi facilities with good internet speed connection. We have a cafeteria on the campus. We have a big playground area. Indoor sports facilities and many more are there. Sports facilities are also good with there being a football field, track, cricket ground, badminton court, and many more. Hostels are also very modern with air-conditioning and private catering along with a dispensary.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and experienced in their field. Many of them are Ph.D. holders. Faculty members vary from department to department. Interaction between students and teachers is too friendly and students can ask their doubts in teachers cabins. Faculty members are very highly supportive in nature and they help students as far as they can. Thapar is an institute but nowadays Thapar has become a deemed university so exams for all courses are conducted on the campus. Semester exams are neither tough nor easy. You can see teachers' notes and give all the college exams you can pass.
Other: College conducts many fests and the biggest fest named Saturnalia takes place in November.

Good but not excellent. Okay.
Placements: I am currently studying in thapar University but almost 250-300 recruiting companies come here and the on campus internship begins at the end of semester 2 itself and the placement rate is very high. You have to maintain the CGPA to get interned earlier.
Infrastructure: Well furnished, AC classrooms, proper Wi-Fi, proper labs with all material provided, hostel have night canteen facility along with the mess. During exam time night canteen is open till 2. 24 he Open dispensary, all sport equipment and proper sports ground.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified, attendance criteria, the teaching quality is good but it is difficult sometimes to cater the doubt of all the students otherwise the exam level is medium to hard. A lot of mass bunk happens almost everyday teachers themself cancel the classes before exams.
Other: Good crowd and campus life is lavish, you will enjoy a lot here, as strictness is rising you may miss out a few things but otherwise the campus life is too good.

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is one of the best colleges to live.
Placements: More than 75% of the students got placed on our course. One of the world's best companies visits our campus for recruiting students from our batch. Many students have completed their internships to next level companies like JP Morgan, Deloitte, Amazon, Apple and many others.
Infrastructure: The hostel is none other than home and you are going to stay with your private properties with more benefits and other facilities. We have one of the biggest library and classrooms in locality colleges with advanced technology to provide us with knowledge. One of the finest medical facilities is provided for free by our college to keep all students medically fit.
Faculty: Our college has the best teachers to deliver lectures and solve doubts with much ease that students cannot forget. Most teachers in our university are PhD holders from one of the greatest colleges and play a vital role in making students ready for the market, which is going to pick students.
Other: It is one of the major demanding and the finest and valuable course in our college and with a high demanding job in future. One of the best college fests is held in the northern region, which leads to a higher reputation of the college.

My honest opinions on Thapar Institute of Technology.
Placements: In my batch, the placements were pretty good. Around 98% of the students were placed. We got decent packages. The highest package was 35 lacs per annum and same with the senior batch students also. I think they got even better packages. The companies look for better communications skills and recruit less number of students.
Infrastructure: Thapar is a renowned institute with proper facilities. Everything is proper and in good condition including labs, ground, and swimming pool. I don't have to go through any hardships. I think it values a lot for the money. The hostels are in good conditions. Every time, the construction is going on in the institute.
Faculty: The faculty members and course curriculum are also good. I don't think there are any problems regarding faculty. They are good if someone doesn't like them or lie within them. Especially, the computer engineering department has good and helpful faculty. I think they are doing a great job and will continue.

Thapar University review.
Placements: The course comes under the computer science and engineering department at Thapar, so the placements are pretty much the same as for computer science. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and many other tech as well non-tech companies visit the campus for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good at Thapar University. We have ample space and furthermore, new infrastructure is coming up which includes hostels for boys and girls and also a new computer science department. Also, there is a huge library which is probably one of the best in Patiala.
Faculty: The faculty is nice. Most of the teachers have doctorates in the computer science department and others have done their masters. The curriculum is good. Its a mixture of learning in class plus industrial exposure through compulsory industrial training, twice during the course.

Yes, you can but in the last round of the counselling or in the spot round as in that almost 10% seats are left vacant. In that, you can easily get admission in this college.

If you have Punjab quota, then you have 90% chances to get it.
As per second cut-off list there is quite decrease in the cut off rank/marks.Try till second in-person counseling.
It's bit difficult if you are from outside Punjab.
Though try your best.
