I am satisfied with this college everything, placement, crowd, faculty everything is top-notch.
Placements: Currently, I am in my second year of college, so I am not the one who is getting placed. But, I know some of my seniors who told me that placements are declining due to the increasing demand for computer/IT jobs and also the lack of skills. Recently, many companies have visited our campus for recruitment, and they rejected almost everyone as no one have skills they were looking for. The highest package is 12 LPA, so you get the overview of this college. Companies like Cognizant, TCS, and Wipro visit the campus for mass recruitment but recruit a very less number of students.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college are top-notch, and the infrastructure is also top-notch. We have a lot of computers on campus, some of which are equipped with RTX 4090. The mess food is okayish, I won’t say it's good or bad, it’s just manageable. For sports purposes, we don't have a big ground, so sports facilities are average, as we have to take permission to play on the ground. There are two grounds at VIT, which are also used by other college students like VIIEE, VP, and VSIT. Every class is equipped with AC and a smartboard, and the library is like a great spot.
Faculty: Teachers at VIT are very helpful, friendly, and chill. They are the backbone of VIT. If you ever get admission to VIT, you’ll be surprised at how close faculty members are to students. They engage themselves in almost every event along with students and also encourage them. They are knowledgeable, and their teaching style is unique. However, like everywhere, there are exceptions. The college curriculum is good, it’s not hectic, but if you want to be industry-ready, you should study more than what is teach in class. The semesters aren’t difficult, they are easy.
Other: I am fully satisfied with this college. I was interested in technology, and my course offers me the freedom to chose what I want to do in life. This is the best thing about my course. I don't want anything to be better, but the hectic assignments should be changed. Every day there is a new event, something new is happening, and the crowd is supportive. The campus is great, and the opportunities for extracurricular activities are the best, as VIT helps students find their field of interest by creating different councils.

Welcome to VIT. Not VJTI! But you can get the joy.
Placements: According to our seniors, the percentage of students placed in Computer Engineering is greater than 90%. Top recruiters are TCS and Jio. You can expect an average salary of 5 Lacs, with the highest being more than 20 LPA (off-campus) in the Computer Engineering Department. Internships start from the 3rd year. I am in 2nd year, so I don't know much, but seniors told me that most students can get an internship if they maintain their LinkedIn profile. Be sure to keep your LinkedIn profile updated. Top roles are in the software department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is one of the best in Mumbai. Free Wi-Fi and well-equipped labs are provided. The library is also quite large. The food made in the canteen is very good and affordable. There are also two cafes, Nescafe and Cafe Coffee Day, and a Ribbons & Balloons shop where you get a variety of puffs and sweets. The college also organizes various fests and sports tournaments. There are two gymkhanas, one even with a PS5, and they include various indoor games such as carrom, chess, table tennis, pool, and air hockey.
Faculty: The curriculum is based on the latest NEP (National Education Policy). I would say it is pretty up-to-date compared to some other colleges. The applications of the subject are properly taught to us by the faculty members, though some improvements might be needed. Some subjects are outdated or not required in our field. I think of them as extra, and yes, you need to give their exams properly.
Other: My campus life in the first year was pretty good and easy. The library has a pile of books, like a whole floor comprised of books. There are 5-6 copies of the same book, as there might be a need for two or more students to have the same book. A stationery shop is also provided inside the campus. Every year during winter, there are sports competitions like tug-of-war, football, lagori, etc., as well as indoor games tournaments.

It is the best college in Mumbai with infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Approximately 60 to 70% of students are placed in our computer engineering course. The highest package 37.5 LPA is offered by Uniqlo. The average package is approximately 7 to 8 lacs. TCS is one of the top mass recruiters. LTI, Reliance Jio, Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys, and Justdial are also some major recruiters for our computer engineering department.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is much better and modern than other colleges of Mumbai. The whole Campus is divided into Blocks (buildings) according to departments. A-Block: Principle and Management, B-Block: Biomed Engineering Course, D-Block for Freshers (first year all departments), M-Block: Majorly Computer Engineering Course and Information Technology Course. C, E and F Block for EXTC and EXCS Department. Majorly all classrooms are Freshly Renovated in 2024-25. Nearly every part of college have network of Wi-Fi (Speed: approximately 25 Mbps), 2.5GHZ and 5Ghz also Available. CC Labs im G-Block have the latest Apple iMacs and RTX powered Custom rgb pc setup.
Faculty: Almost every teacher from our department is very knowledgeable and helpful. Our autonomous course curriculum is much better than other Mumbai University colleges. Semester exams aren't difficult because of the Monday test strategy of our college instead of mid-sem exams, due to such a strategy we students have to study every week of the semester which also makes us knowledgeable and industry-ready.
Other: None of our college fests take entry feels or tickets from students even if it's VERVE (February's Major Fest for College). We also have the vBroadcast app available on Google Play Store and App Store which secures our Digital college ID cars, and all information on upcoming, ongoing, and previous teach or sports events. Dogs and cats are always present hanging out on campus, and roofs of campus have nests of pigeons and sparrows all these give a peaceful environment.

Placements: Around 120 students got placed in companies like TCS, Wipro and Infosys. Some students in Amazon and Google. Highest package was 12 LPA last year, average stands between 3-8 LPA. TCS is a top requiring company for our college. Around 70-80% internship.
Infrastructure: We have a great wifi, all ac labs, digital board classrooms, library is pretty good I loves infrastructure so much. We don't have hostel , quality of food is just amazing. We have sports and much more games like kho kho ,carrom,badminton,PS5, football, air hockey.
Faculty: Teacher are well qualified, very informative. Teacher helps a lot in our entire semesters, planned things works well. Courses are also relevant to the industry. No difficulties in semester exams if you preparing well enough. Also we have Monday tests.
Other: I chose this college because of its infrastructure, also the fests of our college which is verve, garba. All kind of cultural activities, placement everything is good. They also provide scholarships. Campus is big.

A student's review of Computer Engineering at VIT, Mumbai.
Placements: The placements are decent ad VIT. On average, around 85% students get placed every year. The highest package offered was 37.5 LPA and average package is around 3.5–4 LPA. top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini and others. 70% students got internship with notable companies. The top roles offered were Software developer, Data Analyst, System Engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is one of the best in the city. The classrooms are equipped with lecture capture systems and smartboards, and the labs are equipped with high-end computers with the latest software, etc. for coding and development. The Wi-Fi network is available all over the campus. The library is well stocked with all types of reference materials for every course.
Faculty: The Computer Department faculty members at VIT are highly qualified, experts in their field, and very supportive. The curriculum is well structured with the latest industry standards and real-life applications. The semester exams are moderately challenging and designed to test both the theoretical and practical knowledge of the student. The pass percentage is generally high, around 90–95%, reflecting effective teaching methods.
Other: Choosing VIT was driven by my passion for technology and the good reputation of the college. The best things about the course are the experienced faculty members and the good curriculum. More industry collaboration and practical exposure could be some improvement. The campus is vibrant with many extracurricular activities, like the annual events VERVE and Techfest. Transport connectivity is also easily accessible. Scholarships are also available for needy students. There are technical clubs like CESA-VIT and CSI-VIT in the Computer Engineering Department.
