The placements were bad in CE during our time. The infrastructure is good.
Placements: When I joined the college, the placements were good. At that time, our seniors got many jobs in different companies. Salary package offered was 2 LPA to 5 LPA. Construction based, national companies visit the college for placements. But in 2017, the placements were very low. In our department, the placements are very low, but, the placements are provided for other departments.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. The classrooms are good but are not air-conditioned. The library is also available, and it is in good condition. Medical facilities are not available, but FasTreat is available. Our college conducts sports and games every year, such as cricket tournament, Camellia premier league (CPL), computer games etc. Canteen is also available, but the food is average.
Faculty: The teachers present in our college are very helpful. Maximum teachers completed B.Tech, M.Tech and also PhD. They studied in highly-reputed colleges. They are very knowledgeable. If any student doesn't understand any subject, they teach immediately. There are 120 seats available in civil engineering, 60 in ME, 60 in EE, 60 in CS etc. Food technology and agriculture etc., are also offered in the college.
Other: Our college also conducts some events like college fest, independence day and teachers day. The scholarship is also provided to the students. Indoor, outdoor games are conducted.

Other: Not to say the best college, but still it is very good, I am from the civil department. The faculty members are best especially in my stream as well as core departments. Though, the campus and placement is still not as good as the other colleges, but as all we know there is no job in west bengal, but a huge number of students got placed in Simplex, Bhuson power steel, Sew Infrastructure, from the 2013 and 2014 batches. The ECE and IT streams are also good and had/have average campussing. But the mechanical department is the worst. Many of my friends have joined IIT for M.tech and higher studies from my batch. I am also working in a PSU company. For my batch, the semester fee was 25000, but for now it is may be 45000 per semester. The college and campus life are very good, far away from the city life, and much more pleasant. I am sure you will definitely love my college if you have a good circle of friends. so all i can say you can go for our college for only the civil, electrical and IT streams.
