DU JAT 2020 Analysis: Moderate to Tough Test with Surprise in Pattern

DU JAT 2020 Analysis

DU JAT 2020 has been conducted on September 7 in two slots across 20 cities in India. The computer-based test was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the University of Delhi. According to the DU JAT 2020 analysis by experts from top coaching institutes, the difficulty level of the exam was moderate to tough and unlike the stated exam pattern, equal distribution of questions in the sections was not there. At some of the DU JAT centres, the candidates faced technical glitches, which led to delay in the commencement of the test. DU JAT 2020 Structure

According to the DU JAT exam pattern, each question carries four marks and one mark is deducted for each wrong answer. There is no negative marking scheme for un-attempted questions.

As stated before, this year equal distribution of questions was not there. The sectional division of questions is represented in the below table.

Verbal Ability

The Verbal Ability section was easy. Instead of 25, there were 20 questions in this section. Following table brings the topic-wise number of questions in the Verbal Ability section.

Logical Reasoning

There were approximately 30 questions in the Logical Reasoning section. Most of the questions were from the Analytical Reasoning area. The topics of the section are given in the table below.

Some of the questions were lengthy and time-consuming. The overall difficulty level of the section can be termed as easy to moderate.

Quantitative Ability

This section had the maximum number of questions. Unlike previous years, the weightage of the Higher Maths questions was lesser. The overall difficulty level was moderate. Let us take a look at the various topics which were asked in the Quantitative Ability section.

General Knowledge

The questions of this section were not asked in a section-wise condensed manner. Rather, the GK questions were scattered across the question paper. There were 12 questions on current affairs on the topics of awards, agreements, personalities and organisation based questions. There were no questions from Static GK. The difficulty level of this section was easy. The difficulty level of this section was easy.

DU JAT 2020 Expected Cut-off

The experts predict the following cut-off scores for the DU JAT participating colleges.

DU JAT 2020 result is expected to be declared in the last week of September. The DU JAT 2020 Answer Keys will be released soon. DU JAT scores are accepted by 16 colleges affiliated to the University of Delhi.
