BSEB 12th Preparation Tips for Chemistry

For Chemistry, all students must understand the concepts instead of mugging up. they should practice equations and revise formulae on a regular basis. Here are the 10 keys to notch up a high score in the BSEB Class 12 Chemistry exam:

  1. Prepare a schedule: To start preparing for the BSEB Class 12 board examination, the students should formulate a timetable and allot equal time to complete every topic. Every student must follow the timetable strictly to ensure that the syllabus is completed on time.
  2. Formulae and Derivations: Chemistry is based on chemical equations and formulae. Regularly practicing equations will help the student in learning the basic concepts, the chemical equations and formulae easily. Write down all the formulae in a separate notebook and learn these formulae. Remembering the chemical names is another important task in Chemistry exams. Hence, revising and practicing these formulae regularly will help students to get a good grip on the subject.
  3. Practice numerical: Most students often find numerical problems difficult. The students need to practice the numerical problems daily to secure high scores in board examination. Students should focus on clarifying their basic concepts to get a better understanding of the numerical questions.
  4. Pay attention to exponential values: Certain numerical problems involve exponential numbers, for example, the Avogadro number. While solving such problems, complete knowledge of exponential powers is required to get correct answers. Hence, students must learn and practice exponential values daily.
  5. Studying the chapters: Chemistry includes several scientific concepts, theory, and reactions. The students should give more time while studying a chapter to get an in-depth understanding of each topic.
  6. Pay attention to practical: All the students preparing for BSES Class 12 Chemistry exam should attend classes and laboratory lectures. Perform all laboratory experiments sincerely to get a deep understanding of the concepts. This will help students perform better in the practical assessment.
  7. Arranging your answers: While writing long answers, write a short and concise introduction of the concepts. Begin with points of rationale, highlight the keywords and practise writing answers with these keywords. This will help students in remembering important points. Follow this procedure while writing the board exam as well.
  8. Revise and practise: Only mugging the chapters will not help in securing good marks in the exam. The students need to practise regularly to learn the formulae and exponential values. Revision is also important to ensure that each topic of the syllabus is covered.
  9. Solve previous years’ question papers: Solving previous years’ question papers is also an important part of the preparation process. This will help the student in understanding the exam pattern and managing time during the exam. After completing the syllabus, the students should practise previous years’ question papers daily to assess their weak areas. This will also help in enhancing speed and accuracy during the board exam.
  10. Do not stress: Try to keep calm during the exam. Daily practise will help students build confidence and prevent repeated mistakes. Reduce the stress level by taking breaks during the preparation while keeping a track of the performance daily.
