CBSE Class 12th is not a piece of cake for students and it should not even be considered so. It takes hard work, smart work, concentration, dedication, and determination to score well in class 12th boards. Who doesn’t want to score well and be a topper but the study pressure is so much that only a few are able to handle it well in such a situation. Family and educators expect a lot from the students. Sometimes, due to such expectations only, the students are often not able to cope up with the pressure and hence, lack concentration. Shared below are 6 preparation tips for the students of CBSE Class 12 that will help them to score well in their boards:

Table of contents
  • Make a strategy
  • NCERT is a must
  • Examine your study pattern
  • Always test yourself; Learn from your mistakes
  • Stay Calm and Relax!

Make a strategy

Jot down the list of your daily routine activities and the approximate time consumed in performing them. Cancel out the ones which you think are not very essential during your board exams. After doing so, fill the vacancies with study sessions. Now gradually start raising your study time each day. Make new goals for yourself. In order to finish your CBSE 12th syllabus well in time, make a time-table and follow it rigorously. After finishing your syllabus, think beyond it and start solving sample papers and model test papers. You can even watch video tutorials on various subjects, watch previous year topper’s interviews and talk sessions and test yourself regularly.

NCERT is a must

Do not ignore the NCERT books. The syllabus and the exam pattern of board exams are entirely based on the NCERT concepts and pattern. Therefore, you should thoroughly do NCERT first and then jump onto guides and other reference books. Initial preparation through NCERT is a must for students as this will, definitely, help them in acquiring good marks in class 12 board exams.

Examine your study pattern

Categorize your syllabus as per the current marking scheme and then divide the study time according to it. Do not put equal time and energy in learning every chapter. Make a list of everything you remember i.e., your strong subjects/chapters and everything you don’t i.e., your weak subjects/chapters. For example, if a student is not-so-good in Maths then he should devote more study time to Maths. In this way, balance your syllabus i.e. the hard and easy subjects/chapters as per your study plan and work on them rigorously.

Always test yourself; Learn from your mistakes

Make goals for yourself each day and take up chapters accordingly. After you are done with your study session for the day, test yourself about everything you studied that day. Observe your learning, see how much you were able to grasp throughout the day. Don’t worry if you perform mistakes in that test or if you are not able to remember any answer, learn the question again and then do the test. Make sure you include the questions you are not able to answer in next day’s test. And always remember, never go to sleep with unfinished targets.

Perform your best and forget the rest!

Performing on the exam day holds equal importance as studying for the exam. Writing neatly and in legible handwriting is very important. Try to write answers according to the serial order so that it doesn’t create confusion for the examiner while checking your answer script. Revision is a must after the completion of the exam. Students can watch tutorials a day prior to their exam to get an idea of the time strategy and be mentally prepared. They should give their best shot and should always remember not to over-confident, even if they know the whole exam.

Stay Calm and Relax!

Never put too much pressure on yourself. Don’t think about topping but think about attempting the paper in the best manner and scoring good marks. Pressurising yourself will affect your performance. Take short breaks after a long study sessions, go for a walk, play a small game with your family and appreciate your performance. Make sure you are consuming a healthy diet and taking all necessary precautions in order to stay safe during Covid times. You should not compromise with your sleep and it holds utmost importance. It will have a great impact on your performance.

Hi...

I need to clarify first: are you asking about admission to Chandigarh University for B.Tech/B.E, or admission to a medical/paramedical course (like B.Sc Nursing, MBBS, BPT, etc.)

The marks required and exam rules differ a lot depending on the stream.

Hi.

If your 12th result has not been announced yet then

Upload expected / provisional marks for now.

Final admission depends on the official 12th mark sheet after results are announced.

Colleges are used to this situation, especially for students applying in early cycles.
