VIT Chennai BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Chennai offers a full-time BTech course across various specialisations, including Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, among others. The UG-level course lasts four years.
VIT Chennai BTech admissions are based on the applicants’ performance in the VITEEE (candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2004 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2026), followed by the online counselling, both of which are conducted by VIT. However, no entrance exam is required to secure admission to BTech in Fashion Technology. There is no such provision of getting direct admission in BTech at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Chennai. Candidates willing to take admission in BTech at VIT must take VITEEE exam which is Vellore Institute of Technology own entrance exam. VITEEE is a computer based test.
