IIT Madras Cutoff 2026: JEE Advanced Previous Years Closing Rank

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras has concluded the BTech admission for the academic year 2023-24. IIT Madras cutoff 2023 was concluded after the release of Round 6 of the Engineering Advanced Seat Allotment Result. As per the IIT Madras JEE Advanced cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for BTech was ranged between 148 and 11185 for the General All India category students. Considering the last round closing rank, BTech in CSE was the most competitive specialisation.

IIT Madras BTech cutoff 2024 got released across multiple specialisations. Based on the last-round seat allotment, to get into IIT Madras, students must score between 159 and, 10682 for the General AII India category. In addition to that, for getting into BTech in CSE, you must have a rank upto 159. Also, B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering is one of the most competitive BTech specialisations at IIT Madras. A detailed course-wise IIT Madras JEE Advanced cutoff 2024 is given below for the General category students under the AII India Quota. 

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Civil Engineering was 6106 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. The opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, opening rank was 5365 and closing rank was 5374. The cutoffs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 8323 and 8618. Admission to Integrated B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Engineering Design (Automotive Engineering) in IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. JAM 2023 concluded after round 4 which was released on July 7. As per the latest year JAM cutoff, the opening and closing ranks ranges between 1 and 262, including all the MSc specialisations. So, to be eligible for IIT Madras MSc course, candidates must secure a rank between 1 to 300 for General category. DoMS IIT Madras cutoff 2025 was published for admission to the management course, as MBA, based on the candidates' performance in the CAT entrance exam. For the General AI category, the DoMS IIT Madras CAT cutoff 2025 was 85.11 overall and 50 for all the sections, like Quants, VA-RC and DI-LR.

Qualifying marks for JEE Mains 2026, also called qualifying percentile for JEE Mains will be announced by the NTA along with the JEE Main 2026 session 2 result. Candidates must note that qualifying percentile for JEE Mains 2026 is the minimum percentile required to appear in JEE Advanced 2026. For admission to NIT or IIITs, there is no provision of qualifying marks in JEE Mains 2026 and admission is given based on All India Rank in JEE Mains exam. NTA will announce JEE Mains 2026 All India rank in April after session 2 exam results. 

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category are - 3287 for OBC, 1796 for SC, 901 for ST and 1373 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
