IIT Madras CSE cutoff 2026 has been released for admission to various categories belonging to the AI quota. The JEE Advanced Round 1 closing rank for CSE admission was 149 in the General category. The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category are - 3287 for OBC, 1796 for SC, 901 for ST and 1373 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

IIT Madras JAM cutoff 2026 has been released for round 2 for admission to the M.Sc. across multiple specialisations. For the General AI category, the IIT JAM round 2 cutoff ranged from 196 to 235, with M.Sc. in Physics being the most competitive branch for admission. In 2025, the Round 2 cutoff rank for the same competitive branch was 148, while it was 156 in 2024 for the General AI category students.

The cutoffs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 8323 and 8618. Admission to Integrated B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Engineering Design (Automotive Engineering) in IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE.
