A happy campus with a long way to go.

Placements: My batch is the first batch of the college. Hence, there has not been any placement for batches before us. Due to the reasons mentioned above, there is no data about engineering placements of the previous or current batch, though the college had time and assured of full placement assistance. But as said before nothing can be said with concrete data.

Infrastructure: The college is located in a building of 8 stories situated on the outskirts of the Pune city. The landscape is awesome and gives a positive vibe. The campus is being equipped with adequate laboratory facilities. Wi-Fi is available in the building. The cafeteria is available in the building, and no physical library is present, but access is granted to IIT Kharagpur based national digital library program for all books.

Faculty: Courses are based on an innovative outreach and are great when compared to the current market scenario. The college provides full liberty to the faculty for adopting latest syllabus and including important latest content in the curriculum. The faculty is extremely knowledgeable and are experts in their relevant fields.

A college with bad faculty, poor infrastructure and zero placements

Placements: About 5 percent of students get placed. Placements are rarely provided here. The offered package range varies from 1 LPA to 3 LPA. Global Step offered the highest placement offer of 3.5 LPA in the year 2021. 20 percent of students go through internship training whereas 10 percent of them did internships through college.

Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi and labs available here and we have to arrange these ourselves and are also required to pay for each instrument here. There are 10 classrooms where our classes are scheduled for 1 to 2 hours per day. The hostel does not provide food and you would be required to buy it yourself. Sports and games facilities are provided there as well.

Faculty: Our teachers are not qualified and the interesting part of our college is that the HOD of our college is a graduate. Besides, they even do not know properly our syllabus. The exams are however very easy and you will be provided with hints to pass the exams. Overall, this college is only for enjoyment. The pass percentage is 30%.

Other: The course is not valid as told by many companies. Therefore, there need to be major corrections in this course of biotechnology.

Good infrastructure but weak management .

Placements: The average package of our college might range from 7 to 8 lakhs. Companies like Mahindra have visited our college and offered job opportunities. 30 to 40% of students have been placed from our college. The internship is usually off-campus, which we have to do in the last year of our college, and it also has marks.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our college are quite nice. The buildings are posh. The surroundings are clean and green. The facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are adequate for students. The quality of facilities in the hostels is good but quite expensive. The quality of food is also nice, but it is not included in the fees for a hostel.

Faculty: The difficulty of the semester depends on the exams. From unit tests to end term, it gradually increases in difficulty from moderate and easy to somewhat difficult criteria. The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready as they provide the training program in the last year of college before the placement and interviews.

Other: I've always been interested in biology; that's why I have opted for this course in biotechnology. The placements can be improved for our field. Events and fests are amazing. There are no scholarships available, but extracurricular activities are good.

DY Patil of Engineering is the best college.

Placements: DY Patil is the best university for placements and I came here for only placements. From the second onwards, we are having the internships and in the final year, we have abroad training. I would recommend students to join this college if they want placements. Nowadays knowledge is important. Don't see for placements if you have the talent you can get selected anywhere not only in college placements, So my suggestion is that DY Patil is the best for placements and almost the salary packages offered are also very high and range from 8 LPA - 10 LPA from our seniors. I hope the salaries may increase in the coming years. The management is very focused on placements and there is a separate placement cell for placements.

Infrastructure: It has a wonderful infrastructure I have never seen this type of infrastructure. There are large classrooms with the best infrastructure and the environment on the campus is very neat and green. The labs are very technical and every branch has separate labs, and computer labs are open for 24 hours. You can use the labs whenever you want. Our college also has medical facilities with high technology. I am from another state, but I felt here like my home. Food served in the canteen is good and we are having a huge ground and there is a lot of support for the people who are interested to play the games from the management. Every year, we have a sports fest and on that day different sports are conducted and there will be a celebration. The hostel is very clean and good with television facilities and Wi-Fi along with drinking water and some kitchen equipment to cook some snacks. I am enjoying the college with great infrastructure.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and are student-friendly. We can ask them doubts anytime. Teachers are always in touch with us. They teach us digitally as well as on the board also. They are willing to give more knowledge as possible. I like the teaching style. I have no problem with my studies because our teachers take personal care to develop us. The course curriculum is good mostly we have the practical method of 80% and only less percentage of theory.

Other: We are having a lot of events like a freshers party which will be a lifetime memorable moment for freshers and freshers will be awarded Mr. fresher and MS. fresher and teachers also dance with students and they will also enjoy with us. We also have an international fest. On that fest, from all over the world-famous personalities are invited and they interact with the students. We also have sports fest, many technical fest and engineers day, colleges fest and annual celebrations and traditional day celebrations. We can learn a lot from fests.

Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies. They must have secured at least mentioned aggregate marks in these subjects (40% for candidates belonging to Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Sections, and Persons with Disabilities from Maharashtra State).For NRI, OCI, PIO candidates, Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries, and Foreign Nationals, eligibility requires passing the HSC or an equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the additional subjects listed above, and obtaining at least 45% marks in these subjects taken together.

No, it isn't better than D Y Patil Navi, Mumbai and the package is yet to be received as the engineering first batch is not out yet.

Hi, I think 65 marks are enough for applying in Ajeenkya D Y Patil University School of Engineering. Though I must inform you that you will not get a BE degree here. You will get a B.Tech in biotechnology here with an option to specialise in either food or medical biotechnology. Fees will be 2 lakh

Can I take admission in food technology on basis of Diploma in mechanical engineering?

You surely try taking admission in food biotechnology but it'll not be an advisable step because food biotechnology is mostly biology and chemistry whereas you have a background in mechanical. So I think mechatronics will be a better option for you. PS: food technology as a course is not available
