Dissatisfied with the rules.
Placements: A good number of companies arrive every year and mostly IT companies are more in number than the core companies. Students will good skill gets selected irrespective of the CGPA which must be above 6 points. Companies like Accenture, Tata Consultancy, etc. visit every year. Placement classes are available but they are not good. Internship from the college is rare. We have to find it on our own. Value added courses are offered which require additional payment. They don't offer a stipend .
Infrastructure: The college is about a decade old and the infrastructure is not bad. We have air -conditioned labs. Mess is also available where we get breakfast and lunch. The college has a big library and an auditorium. Wi-Fi facility is not available because mobile phones are not to be used. Also, the college has bus facilities and a good hostel.
Faculty: The faculty members are all M.E and Ph.D. qualified. There are also some strict staff members who always go through your marks whereas there are some who really help in building your skills. Every semester they take for industrial visits. But as the college rules are very strict, the staff members put more pressure on the students for studies.
Other: The college is very strict than other colleges in Chennai where there are strict rules like boys and girls shouldn't talk on the college campus and mobile phones are not allowed in the college premises. In the hostel, Android phones are allowed only after the 1st year. They provide breakfast and lunch which is good.

Teaching is awesome, rest all is not.
Placements: No placements at all. If placements are there, they are only for tech support. But college will send for pool campus. Our seniors got placed by their own efforts and they got placed even with their 60-65%. The college will not provide or send students for internship.
Infrastructure: As I am not a hosteler, I don't know much about the hostel rooms, but I have friends who were staying in the hostel, they shared a good opinion about the hostel rooms and food. Classrooms and labs are good. There are a library and a separate sports room. Wifi is available for different branches but you people should know the passwords.
Faculty: I really enjoyed being an EC student, because EC faculty members were awesome and they teach well. Always, other branch students were coming with their branch teaching problems but in EC it was less. I can say if you got Alpha college, definitely join for EC, not other branches.
Other: For coming to the college, there are many buses till Hennur cross, but after that, very few buses which will go near Alpha College stop. And college buses will not be there always. I personally experienced this problem as I traveled 3 years in the college bus. Canteen food is good now but it will be keep on changing as the vendors change.
