It has good faculty and a good library.

Placements: During my time, only one company came for placements. That company was Cognizant. The package wasn't that good. It's always better to pursue M.Sc/MBA after B.Sc. Statistics. The teachers also encourage you to go for further studies rather than accepting the job offer.

Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi enabled library which also has a fantastic collection of course-related books. The librarian is very knowledgeable and can help us by providing books, magazines and papers. There is also a departmental library from where you can borrow books. Bethune College does not have a hostel.

Faculty: The teachers are extremely qualified and knowledgeable. More importantly, they are very helpful and friendly which makes it easier for students to approach them. The curriculum is relevant but does not really make students industry-ready. CU exams are difficult as always, and scoring is difficult.

Other: Bethune College holds an annual fest where students from other colleges are also invited for various competitions here. It is a good social event.

Best government college in Kolkata.

Placements: Though companies like TCS, cognizant come to our college for recruitment, most of the students are really not interested in placements as most opt for higher studies. Some who get placed are offered around 3-4 lpa. In statistics field, the jobs offered are mostly of analyst roles.

Infrastructure: The statistics department is well-equipped with a fully air conditioned computer lab. The college campus and the atmosphere is really beautiful and has a very peaceful environment. The library is well stocked with every books needed for the course. It has also got separate sports room where every kinds of sports equipment are available. There is also a gym for students to use in the campus.

Faculty: The faculty is very well qualified and cooperative. They give equal attention to each and every student. One can easily communicate with the teachers in case of any difficulty. Classes are taken regularly. In our last semester we are given compulsory projects under our professors which is really helpful.

Really good infrastructure. The teachers take extra classes to clear our doubts.

Placements: Good companies come to our college and take quite a good number of students in. Companies like Infosys, TCS, etc. come to our college to recruit students. In my course positions like analysts are offered. As they take in freshers the yearly package is 3-4 lac.

Infrastructure: The faculty and the department is very helping. The infrastructure is good. We have a departmental as well as Science library. We have a departmental computer lab which is well-equipped. We have a canteen where you get good and very cheap food. We do not have hostel facilities.

Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and educated. They help out with our queries whenever we have any problem. They take extra classes to clear our doubts. They are also very qualified. The course curriculum that is followed in our college is set by the university and is one of the best in the country and it also makes students industry ready.

Good infrastructure, faculty members, facilities, academic programme.

Placements: None of us participated in recruitment process as we all chose to go for higher studies like M.Sc. in Statistics at Kalyani University, University of Calcutta, IITK, University of Madras, Amity Delhi, integrated M.Sc+p. Hd in IITB. TCS is the top recruiter. 3 students attended a workshop named MTUSS at University of Calcutta, 3 students attended workshop at Presidency University, one did project at NSSO.

Infrastructure: 1. Bethune offered 3 years B.Sc. Honours course in statistics. There are 3class rooms, along with a computer lab with accommodations of 25 students, departmental library+central library, free Wi-Fi, smart classroom. 2. Bethune does not have its own hostel but it will be available soon, quality of food is average in canteen in my time but the price is affordable, we have our medical room and our college has glorious record in sports, many of our girls are well known in various sports, and we organize yearly annual sports events lasted for 3 days.

Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful, qualified and very enthusiastic. I personally enjoyed their teaching process, they are well accessible any time. Their guidance was very helpful in finding good universities and competitive exams. They always encourage us for doing our best. Yes, the course curriculum is well versed. If someone wants to go for a job they must have software knowledge which they can do in various online-offline courses, but the theoretical part is completely awesome.

Bethune college: Absolute great place for pursuing Bachelor's & master's too.

Placements: We got placements in Wipro, TCS. Though every one of our class prefer higher studies, and job was our second option, so we didn't take the job. I think after B.Sc. honors in statistics master's degree is a better option to pursue than taking a job right now.

Infrastructure: Lab is good. Free Wi-Fi is only available in office area. There is a gym in the college, though students not active there, table tennis, badminton & several gym equipments are available there. Canteen food is average. I prefer home made food rather. No hostel is available.

Faculty: Teachers are very friendly in our department. They are very helpful. Not only regular classes but they help us for solving problems for any other entrances too. The college exam system is really good. We didn't face any delay in exams like other colleges. Selection exams for finals held in time so we get enough time for preparation of final exams.

Other: College scholarships are available. Member of office also help us, if we need to apply for other scholarship. Winter times are good for badminton and we are provided with huge free space. Fest is also enjoyable.
