Strong academics and facilities, but limited placements and occasional infrastructure issues.

Placements: 70 percent students are placed in our course. LPU's placement record includes 2,100+ recruiters, 5,500+ offers from Fortune 500 companies and 350+ recruiters from IITs. The average salary for the top 25 percent placed students is 10.1 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are TCS, Wipro, and other companies. Top roles offered include analyst and consulting positions.

Infrastructure: Our theory class is normally in the class hall, but our lab class is held in the AC room, and there is Wi-Fi in the library. The facilities and infrastructure available for a typical academic course department include classrooms, laboratories, a library, and Wi-Fi access. Classrooms are often equipped with projectors, whiteboards, and comfortable seating. Laboratories, tailored to specific disciplines, provide specialized equipment for practical learning. Our facilities are very good. Professors are very helpful. Food quality is average. Sports and games are held in our college.

Faculty: Our faculties are very good. Professors are very helpful. It makes the students industry ready. Semester exams are tough in this college, but the pass percentage is 75%. A relevant curriculum is crucial for preparing students for the workforce. It ensures that the knowledge and skills taught align with the demands of the modern industry, making graduates more competitive and ready for their chosen careers.

All about ASUTOSH COLLEGE.

Placements: There are no placements for students who have completed only a Bachelor's degree. The minimum requirement for getting a job is a Master's degree. For someone with a Master's in Statistics, it's easy to start with a salary of ₹70,000. However, Bachelor’s students can get internships and receive stipends for work assigned by external sources.

Infrastructure: The college has really good infrastructure with four main buildings: the main building, the IT building, the annex building, and the centenary building. Each serves a different purpose to assist students throughout their college life.

Faculty: The teachers in our college are amazing, but the course curriculum isn't very relevant to industry needs, as it doesn't include many practical, real-life applications. The semester exams are tough, and without proper preparation, students are likely to fail.

Honest review about Asutosh College.

Placements: First of all, after B.Sc. Statistics, many of our students get selected at CU, BHU, DU, CMI, IIT, NIT, and ISI for Masters and after that, many get a chance abroad. Many crack the entrance exams. Some students get internships online. Many seminars are also held for upskilling.

Infrastructure: There are two libraries, enough classrooms, and a computer science lab. There are many messes around the college. There is a good canteen for the students and a beautiful common room, which many students enjoy. The culture is good. There is a separate CS lab for our department.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, the coursework is detailed and very practical, but the semester exams are very hard. As the college is affiliated with Calcutta University, the semester exams are much more difficult. The student has to study well through the year.

Other: As this subject has much scope in the future for jobs and research,. There are regular fests at our college.

It is a good college to learn but doesn't provide placements.

Placements: Placements are not provided in our college under Calcutta University. The placement cell in our college provides few placements to students. Many students go for higher studies.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are not good and not enough for students. Canteen is good and vast. It serves food at a reasonable price. Library is very good that has every famous book. Hostel is not available on the main campus but it is provided on the second campus which is very far from the main campus. It has a ground for sports.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are good. The course curriculum doesn't make students industry ready but it will make them ready for higher studies. It gives vast information. Semester exams are difficult so many students get backlogs. The pass percentage is 30%.

Other: It is one of the best colleges in West Bengal to learn statistics.

The review of Asutosh College.

Placements: The college has a dedicated placement cell. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and IBM, etc., visit our college to hire fresher graduates. They mostly hire the students of domains like statistics, physics, and the computer science department. The salary offered is around Rs. 16,000-50,000. But I think it's better to do masters in a well-recognised university before getting into a job.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. The college provides PGs for the students. There is a canteen inside the college which delivers quality food at the best price. The college has its own playground, and there are separate buildings for several departments. There is also a theatre available on the campus.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are highly qualified, and the college offers almost all the courses. But the best departments are statistics, chemistry, mathematics and geology. They have got A+ grades from NAAC. Campus life here is filled with a lot of fun. If you know about this college in-detail, you'll definitely want to join this college.

Other: In our statistics department, we celebrate almost all the events from the freshers' party to farewell party.

I am dissatisfied with the fact that the college is affiliated to Calcutta University.

Placements: As we have a bachelor's degree in Asutosh College, there are minimum companies coming to provide jobs, but placement drives are conducted. Companies like TCS and IFB come for conducting interviews, and many of the qualified students get jobs. Some experience in those companies will help them if they want to do masters.

Infrastructure: Asutosh College is a government-owned college, and the infrastructure is not that good. Though we have a library, Wi-Fi, classrooms, and labs, we don't have a specific campus. There are no sports and games, and I am not sure about the medical facilities.

Faculty: Professors in the statistics department are very nice and helpful. They are strict. Every one of them is very well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was nice. Every professor has a double degree or PhD in the subject. Asutosh College is very well-known for good faculty members.

Other: Fresher's party is conducted every year.

It's a good college which provides necessary amenities and quality education.

Placements: In our statistics department, after the Bachelor's degree, we get placement offers through campusing. The salary offered ranges from Rs.20,000-50,000. Placements are not good in all the departments of our college, but in a few departments like statistics, geology, etc., they are good.

Infrastructure: The whole college is enabled with Wi-Fi. The games and sports are organised by Krira. They organise football and cricket tournaments, and other sports events. There is a decent canteen for delicious and cheap food. Hostel rooms are also good. All the departments have separate labs.

Faculty: The teachers in our college are qualified in most of the departments. They help us out up to their maximum extent. In most of the departments, there are at least 5-6 teachers. In the statistics department, there are eight permanent teachers and two guest lecturers. The choice of the course curriculum decides whether you'll get industry exposure or not. All course doesn't include industry exposure.

Best college for stat hons.

Placements: There is no internship system in our college because this is just a college for completing graduation for BSc and BA courses. 60 per cent of students enrolled in our course. It is a good course with a great future.

Infrastructure: The college has a Wi-Fi zone. The labs are well equipped with great amenities and the classrooms are neat with ample amount of desks and benches in each classroom. There is a library with various books on different subjects.

Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and very student-friendly. They have a vast knowledge about the topic and provide assignments as well as help us in solving them. They are knowledgeable too. They clear all our doubts and repeat every sentence 2 to 3 times.

Candidates who has passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination is eligible to apply provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100. No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education /Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. Candidate must have aggregate 50%, passed in Mathematics. However, Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST or OBC Community must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate at the previous qualifying examination.
