The best institution for engineering.
Placements: The placement count has increased significantly every year since I joined. Placement drives are already underway for final and pre-final year students. Around 90% of my seniors have already been placed in reputed companies. Placement training sessions are also provided regularly, which help us enhance our training and communication skills.
Infrastructure: All our classrooms are integrated with smart boards. The entire campus is equipped with WiFi connectivity. Our centre for biomedical research makes us participate actively in numerous competitions and hackathons. The department includes well-equipped laboratories. My course provides a wider knowledge of recent advancements in biomedical engineering. I stay in a hostel and it gives me a good ambience to study. I go around the laboratories for research (projects/hackathons) work till 8 pm, and it is completely safe. The campus also includes an ambulance/health centre for any health emergencies. ATM/ temple/ laundry service/ stationery/canteen are also available. Mess food includes non-veg also thrice a week.
Faculty: All our faculty are well-qualified, experienced professors. They are all approachable and encourage us well. The motivation we get from them is huge, and the support from them really transforms our lives. The curriculum includes advanced learning through core course projects every semester for better project-based learning. Internal assessments are held regularly every month. Our college supports us to undergo internships twice a year in India & abroad, which I feel no other college does.
Other: I am enjoying my stay at CIT, and I refer/suggest Biomedical Engineering for my juniors also, for advanced and experiential learning.

College has good placements but lacks a good vibe or open culture to enjoy the studies.
Placements: Students above 90% are placed in my course, with the highest package till now being 75 LPA and the lowest 4 LPA. Zoho, HCL, and Google are the top recruiting companies, and mostly above 60% of students got internships from the first year, as every role offered by the companies has several uses, so these students are handpicked for placement.
Infrastructure: Our college has Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library, but it doesn’t care about sports, the food is mostly the worst and not even edible as the contents are not properly cooked, so it’s better to take PG outside, which is good and best for this college, and the gym is not even accessible.
Faculty: Teachers will not help you at any cost, so self-learning is important. Industrial teaching is limited. Semester exams are relevant, and the pass percentage is maintained at 65% for the pass category. Every internal exam is very important and difficult to handle.
Other: I chose this because I love coding and developing code.

Good placements. Average hostel facilities and infrastructure.
Placements: Placements for CSE and allied courses are confirmed. For mechanical and other core-related subjects, placements are there, but core placements are low. For CSE, top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Amazon, and Autocad, etc. The top roles offered are junior engineer, AE, and project manager.
Infrastructure: Hostel isn't that comfortable, but it has all the necessary things like shops inside the campus. There will be no internet connectivity inside the hostel whatsoever. Food quality is average, and there's a playground for basketball and football. There are multiple food courts near the ground.
Faculty: Most of the staff, who are professors, have completed Ph.D. The curriculum is based on practical-cum-theory, there will be a theory class and practical lessons based on that subject. Semester exams are not that difficult, the grades are based on cumulative grading.
Other: I chose this course so that I can try government exams, and also our relatives run a construction company. The practical session is somewhat weak. There are a lot of events inside the campus, they have a student group for events and organization. Scholarships are given for first graduates and applicable students. The surroundings are not that comfortable because the college is somewhat away, like 7 to 8 km from Kundrathur, we have to travel that many kilometers for some things.

Overall life at CIT with placements and curriculum.
Placements: Most probably, more than 90% of the students are being placed by our college, especially in the mechanical department. Some students choose to go for higher studies or go abroad for higher studies. This college is giving training for the GATE examinations. The lowest salary is 4 LPA, and the average is 30 LPA for the mechanical engineering department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is good. Wi-Fi connection and food in the hostel are good, and rooms are cozy. They use smart boards, which are like a touch TV, where they used to teach us, instead of old blackboards, which make us understand and learn things practically.
Faculty: Semester exams are very easy to clear. Proper coaching is given, and they conduct three internal assessments. They cover all five units of the semester, and the faculty guides the students to get good scores in semester examinations. Teachers are always there to clear out doubts, and they are not that strict; they are friendly with students. How we behave with teachers also matters.

It provides good placements and we can gain knowledge here.
Placements: In my course, 100% of placements are provided. The highest salary packages offered is 18 or even 21 LPA. Recruiting companies include many famous and family companies. All are related to core jobs. Each student gets a chance to go for internships even in foreign and also some of them get internships in government sectors.
Infrastructure: We have separate department classrooms for all years. We also have labs for practicals every year. Everything in our hostel is good. We even have AC for rooms and a good water facility. Mess food is also good. There is availability of playground for sport activities.
Faculty: Teachers are very much concerned about our careers, and they make us perfect. Teachers make us ready for the industry. They taught us everything that we have to know before going for a job. Semester exams are the same as in every college. We have to study and the knowledge that we learned from staff members helps us to crack exams.
Other: As computer and IT fields are running out of the job I have seen this course as a life-saving. It is one of the core courses that many companies need, so I chose this course.

Top most college in Tamil Nadu especially for mechanical engineering.
Placements: Most probably more than 90% of the students are being placed by our college, especially in the mechanical department. Some students choose to go for higher studies or go abroad for higher studies. This college is giving training for gate examinations. The lowest salary is 4 LPA and the highest is like average of 30 LPA for the mechanical engineering department.
Infrastructure: Especially for the mechanical engineering department, there are many labs and centers of excellence present inside our college which makes it very easy for us to learn everything practically. They use smart boards which are like touch TV where they used to teach us instead of old blackboards which make us understand and learn things practically. They are providing free Wi-Fi around the campus and to the hostelers also. Canteen foods are so hygienic and taste good. Hostels have excellent infrastructure but the food is not that good that's the reason for giving only 4 stars.
Faculty: Teachers always be there to clear out doubts and they are not that strict, they are friendly with students, how we behave with teachers also matters. Course curriculum is awesome instead of studying everything which is not even useful in our life they only teach useful subjects. They give us assignments and tests daily for our practice and learn new things. They make us do projects and internships. Semester exams are quite tough but if we study it's easy it's according to each other's point of view.
Other: I have decided to choose my course in my 8th standard as I was interested a lot in the automotive industry. For core department mainly mechanical department, this is the best college. Campus is not quite big but we can enjoy the life peaceful and happily. Culturals and other activities are awesome. Students who want to enjoy college life and get good placements at same time can come to this college for their studies.
