B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2016

Dissatisfied with how management treats students, no farewell given to first batch of the college.
Placements: We are the senior batch of the college. Only 5 placements out of 150 students in some start up companies. One student in mechanical got places in Toyota. No placement for civil department. Highest payment is of 12k per month. Some got placement as a trainee and customer care executive. They don't even provide proper placement training.
Infrastructure: No Wi-fI is available. They are very good in marketing and misguiding. The infrastructure is just below basic. It is a new college. There's only one building for the whole college and hostels are 5 km away from the campus. Girls hostel is on the top floor of the college. I faced a lot of infrastructure issues. There in not even a proper wall or gate for the campus. Very disappointed. Labs are very congested.
Faculty: The faculty members are good and helping in their reach but the management is not stable. The faculty is young but good and very enthusiastic about teaching us. Every 6 months, the principal changes due to the management. Rules get changed weekly. The curriculum followed is by KTU and is tough and good. They maintain a fair faculty-student ratio. Industry exposure is there but not great.
Other: Good atmosphere inside rubber plantation. Its 9 km away from Muvattupuzha town. There is not much transportation facility available on that route. I will refer you this college if you are good learner.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the management that rules the college for money-making.
Placements: There were no actual placements based on our field of study. A few startup IT companies came and selected just 3 of our students from all the students from our college. A few startup companies promised job assurance but later learned that they were cheating. A few IT-enabled service-rendering companies conducted several rounds of interview in the campus like essay writing and group discussion. I, along with 3 of my friends, got shortlisted for final rounds at their office. When we went for the final interview, they eliminated me and one of my classmate from attending further interviews without notice. The remaining two participated in the final rounds but could not make it. We were given a provisional letter for the sake of formality during the final rounds. The company is Sutherland Global Services.
Infrastructure: The college brochure is a body of false information. There is no Wi-Fi, no library, no medical facilities or sports and games. It was pure cheating. The quality is extremely poor with no machines. We had to conduct strikes to speed up the construction of the lab. The lab equipment came just one month before the beginning of the semester exam. We had only a handful of lab practice sessions before the exam. The students living in the hostel suffered from food infection more than thrice because of unhealthy food provided to them. Hostel rooms were constructed by dividing the top floor of the college. There were frequent complaints from the ladies' hostel regarding the lack of facilities to the management. The management never played attention unless we conducted a strike. The management only focused on enhancing business while giving zero with regards to education.
Faculty: The faculties were M.Tech freshers who just completed their post graduation. They had zero teaching experience. The management kept firing faculty members for failure to produce academic results in the students. They once conducted a strike because their salary was pending for more than two months. They were forced to work without payment.
Other: Ours was a purely self-financing college. Students should never suffer a fate like this again. That is the sole reason I am writing about my college experience. We couldn't move legally because of fear of losing internal marks. Some of our students were tagged by the management for raising their voice against the principles. They forced the faculty members to exercise control over them.
