Review of College of Engineering, Pune.
Placements: Around 80% of students get placed in our batch as I am from the electrical branch. The average package of the electric branch was 9.5 LPA in the past year. The top recruiting companies for our course are Mastercard, Mercedes-Benz, etc. Roles offered are electrical design engineer, power systems engineer, and control system engineer.
Infrastructure: Facilities are large. Classrooms have all digital services. It has 24-hour Wi-Fi, libraries, computer labs, etc. The quality of facilities is average. There are so many games in COE. Zest Fest is the largest sports event conducted in Maharashtra after IIT Bombay, so sports facilities are above average in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant in many manners, but some portions are outdated. But it makes us industry-ready. Semester exams are above average for some subjects but some subjects are easy like we can pass after studying one night before.
Other: As I had no intention of choosing electrical before and after the CAT round I got an electrical course in this college. I will suggest more improvement in infrastructure in the college as some instruments are old. The college is full of events. It's really fun in the college life. The crowd is so talented in all manners. We will get many scholarships if we belong to a lower caste but if we are from general, we will get a scholarship like Shahu and Panjabrao Deshmukh.

Review of College of Engineering, Pune.
Placements: Top recruiters for the Electrical department are Texas Instruments, Caterpillar Inc., Reliance Industries, Tata, and ITC. The top roles offered in the course are field engineer, facility engineer, research engineer, associate engineer, and analog engineer. Till the end of November for the final year, almost 60% of students got placed.
Infrastructure: College campus is very aesthetically pleasing and labs are equipped with the latest technologies. Wi-Fi in the classroom and labs is good but in the rest of the campus it is quite disappointing. College library is equipped with a huge variety of books and the electrical department has its own separate library as well. The quality of the food served in boys' mess is very good. The food at canteen is decent.
Faculty: Semester exams are in the range of medium to difficult. Passing marks are usually around 35 out of 100 and there is a relatively grading scheme for most subjects. From 2024, exams will be shifted to the scheme of mid-sem and end-sem from the earlier t1 t2, and end-sem. Course curriculum is focused on core electrical fundamentals and also includes good fundamentals in the fields of machine learning. Teachers are very knowledgeable.
Other: The course can include more field visits. I chose this course because of my interest in the field of Electrical Engineering. I should have focused more on the grades because that is an important factor in placements.

Very Good placement (overall), Hostel infrastructure is very poor.
Placements: Actually, I am currently in the third year of Electrical Engineering, but in the previous batch, above 90% of Electrical students were placed, which is also there on the COEP website. The highest is 22 LPA in Texas Instruments, the average is 7 LPA for Electrical, and the lowest is 5 LPA. Specifically for Electrical, major companies that visit are Texas Instruments, Schlumberger, Reliance, Schneider Electric, Rolls-Royce, ITC, and many more. Internships are very less for our course, maybe out of 95 students, only 10-15 students grab an internship offer, and companies are Legrand, Tata Steel, Hero Motors, Texas Instruments, etc.
Infrastructure: Regarding facilities and infrastructure, it is medium. Labs are very congested, Wi-Fi is good, and the library is not that good. The biggest con of COEP is the hostel infrastructure; only limited students are able to stay in the hostel. Hostel rooms are allotted according to CGPA and how far your home is from the college. The most important thing is that one room is allotted for 4 students, which is probably the biggest con of COEP Hostel.
Faculty: Teachers here are mostly helpful and very knowledgeable, but it also depends on the student and how they approach the faculty members. Mostly, teachers are Ph.D. holders, and some have done Masters. The assistant professors are selected on the basis of NET-UGC, and teachers have to go through an interview process furthermore.

    COEP Teach Review for Elec.
Placements: For my department (Electrical Engineering), the placement is good compared to other colleges. The top recruiters that came were Caterpillar, Reliance, Texas Instruments, Deloitte, Tata, Ion, Bajaj, and many more. The highest package for Electrical was from TI with 36 Lacs CTC. The role offered was of Sales and Analog Engineer.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are great; the rooms are quite spacious, and the labs are also equipped with some of the best instruments. The library of the college is also quite rich in books and has diversity in the books. The Wi-Fi is quite problematic; it is not good in the hostel and college campus. The food in the mess and canteen is good. The food in the North Campus canteen is not up to the mark. There is a great sports culture in the college.
Faculty: The semester exams are of moderate difficulty; they are conducted in two halves: mid-sems and end-sems. The passing CGPA is 6.0, which is based on the relative grading in the college. The course curriculum is quite relevant and also has many industry visits planned so that students can get hands-on experience. The teachers are also quite qualified, and many have completed their Ph.D.

Great College, Do Hard Work, and You Will Get Placed in a Great Company.
Placements: Placements for CS are great, and for E branches it is also good, especially for ENTC, EE, and Instru Branch. Apart from that, no good placements in the Civil branch; one must study for government exams as there are a lot of opportunities there, and it doesn't matter if you are from any branch. If you have an interest in coding, then do it with full enthusiasm, and you will for sure crack a company, whether it be on or off-campus.
Infrastructure: Not up to the mark. Firstly, the hostels are good, meaning the rooms are pretty spacious and enough for 4 people in one room, but the facilities, for example, no proper timings for water, especially hot water in winters, and not appropriate Wi-Fi connections. Therefore, please check which network works best for you in the room, as all network providers are not available in the room.
Faculty: Not up to the mark. Firstly, the faculty members are okay. Some faculty members are really good and supportive, but some don't support as much in attendance or in marking. Teaching is decent, but you have to study on your own for good scores. The exams here are tough, especially the university exams. The curriculum is good.
Other: Great connectivity, alumni network, and fests are great.
