Not satisfied with the way placements are hyped by other people, as we know the reality.
Placements: In the year 2024-25, the average package offered is 6 LPA, which is pretty low for any student getting placed. 61% of students got placed this year. The highest package offered is 18 LPA by Oracle. Top recruiting companies are Tata Steel and Bosch. 70% of students get internships in companies like JSW, and many get research internships at IITs. Roles like quality assurance engineers, etc., are offered here.
Infrastructure: Our college provides plenty of facilities. As we all know, in government colleges, most of the time, Wi-Fi is low. We can get most of the books from the library, but the seating space might be limited. It has a canteen and mess facilities, which are good and cost-friendly. It also has medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Just the teaching quality is quite good. We are getting relevant courses, but less company interaction leads to poor quality of engineering. End-semester exams are pretty difficult, and 70-80% of students pass exams.
Other: Plenty of events are organised. It also conducts crazy extracurricular activities.

Satisfied overall because of good college infrastructure, placements, understanding seniors, etc.
Placements: Almost 77% of students in metallurgy branch got placed last year. The highest package is around 25 LPA and the average salary is 8 LPA. Core industries like steel companies, mining, etc., are strongly approaching metallurgy students. Some students have chosen non-core roles too and some went for higher studies.
Infrastructure: Recently new meta building is built. So its more spacious now. Library, classrooms, and labs are of course on top notch. The labs and lab assistant teachers are also good. Real issue is with Wi-Fi. In most of campus area, there are a lot of network as well as Wi-Fi issues. About hostel, its not less than home. Mess food is a little messed up. But its better than other colleges' mess. There are two canteens in the college. The meta canteen is good. But both canteens are a bit suffocating.
Faculty: Teachers are good. But the distribution of teachers is not good. In my case mechanical branch got most perfect teachers compared to us for the same subject. And for us we have teachers who don't teach that well and also who don't give proper marks in exams too. So, it badly affects our overall CGPA. Exams a good and strict too. About curriculum, we have a lot of clubs around 50, and gathering, impression, mindspark, etc. Some clubs are really good for career growth like robotics, aerospace, etc.
Other: There are a lot of scholarships you'll get in college. Most people don't even need to spend a penny in their pockets for fees.

College is really good. No worries about passing the exams.
Placements: I am M.A. first year student at the college. I am pursuing B.Tech in Metallurgy. As our seniors tell us, our college has nearly 100% placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available 24X7. Labs are fully equipped. Classrooms and library are excellent. Cafeterias and canteens are there on both college and hostel campus. Many fests are organized throughout the year. Students here are very exceptional. If you end up here, you will make a really good friend circle.
Faculty: There are two exams per semester and two semesters per year. You need to score a total of at least 30 marks in each subject to get passed. Out of 30, 20 are in teachers' hands (internal). You need to score 10-15 total in both mid-semester and end-semester accumulated. Teachers are very brilliant and experienced, and they always try new ways of teaching. Internal marks are 20. You just need to score total of 10-15 marks in mid-semester and end-semester.

Value for money and placement is 100%.
Placements: In B.Tech in metallurgy, the placements are almost 100%. Minimum salary is 5 LPA - 6 LPA. The students with minimum CGPA also have an opportunity to grab placements in this branch. Faculty members are also so supportive. They can help you throughout the whole process.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are top-notch. The classrooms are too good and a very good environment to study. We also have a sports club near the academic complex where classes happen. There is a well-furnished library with Wi-Fi all over in college with range. There are many facilities here.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. They guide us every time in careers and keep us motivated throughout the whole journey. They inspire us a lot. The course curriculum is relevant, and it definitely makes a student industry-ready. Semester exams are highly competitive and we deserve that.
Other: My family background is metallurgical therefore I selected this course. The teaching can be more practical rather than theoretical. Fests and events are top-notch. There are more than 50 clubs in the college.

All facilities are very good. The quality of education is provided.
Placements: About 70-80% of students get placements in the metallurgy and materials technology course. The highest package is 28 LPA. From the second year, internships are provided for students. Best companies like TCS, Infosys, etc., visit the college for placements. COEP College is good for placements and education.
Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, a library, a canteen in a hostel, medical, sports, etc. In Wi-Fi, they block some selected websites and games, so that the students are not distracted by that. Mess is too good and they give non-veg every Sunday and for veg students, they give a sweet on Sunday.
Faculty: Teachers are too helpful and qualified. Their teaching quality is better than other colleges. They make students industry-ready. They keep the subject like MPF so that students get experience. They also keep communication skills subject, so that students get ready for interviews with confidence.
Other: Our college organises many events to keep our minds fresh. Surroundings of the campus are too good and lush green everywhere. There is stress everywhere. College gives us all the information on how to get a scholarship.

The college you cant even imagine, The nature, the study and environment are great.
Placements: Around 50-60 students in my batch. Placement is highly rated as it is the topmost college of Maharashtra. Tata Steel and Tata Motors, JSW provide high packages. Almost all, or 80%, get placements, and some of them even get jobs abroad. Metallurgy gives top opportunities in steel industries, contributing infrastructure to the nation.
Infrastructure: As it is a British-ruled college, its infrastructure is so iconic; it is totally built by stone in British-ruled India. Departments are top class, and the nature view is also top-notch. The mess facility is provided by the government of Maharashtra, so you cannot imagine the taste of its food. There is a river in which boating games are also done, and all games are organized and played in the college.
Faculty: The main thing is it's an autonomous college, so the faculty creates the curriculum, making it quite numerical. If you study hard, you can pass; otherwise, you fail. So tough exams are conducted by teachers, and sometimes you should open the book, but you will get nothing. Semester exams are difficult, but if you prepare properly, you will get your marks.
Other: I am studying Diploma in Metallurgy in Maharashtra, so you can't imagine any other college. The ranking of this college is 5 or somewhat 6, so it's a top-rated college, and scholarships are also provided to backward students by the government of Maharashtra. There is an event organized every year, Metafest, for Metallurgy, so you can show your talent at this event, and other cricket and other activities are also done.

Dissatisfying faculty but excellent campus life.
Placements: About 50% students in our course were placed. The highest placement offer was 95 Lacs per annum, however company was Canadian in field of mining. The lowest package was 2.5 Lacs per annum. Average package is not good, 4-5 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are TVI pacific, Tata steel, cognizant, caterpillar, TCS, JSW steel etc. Percentage of internship is very low. Only 2 students secured internship last year.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure offered is pretty well. Library is well furnished with ample space, ventilation and adequate learning material. Wi-Fi is available all over campus however many a times it does not work. Hostel has moderate facilities common toilets for boys. Mess food is pretty good and most importantly nutritious .
Faculty: Majority of faculty are knowledgeable and qualified and certainly eager to help the students. But some are not that interested in teaching the course. Course curriculum is updated constantly and kept relevant to industry and real life scenario, Also it is quite relevant to GATE syllabus. Exams are moderate difficult, about 20 students fails.
Other: For my course of B.Tech metallurgy I would suggest change in teaching approach that would instill interest in course. COEP has best college life and variety events. It is the only college in asia to have a water sports event Regatta. Other events include impression (cultural event), Zest (sport event), Mindspark (academic event), Pune startup fest and many more. Campus is huge 36 acres, especially boast club area is particularly relaxing. College has more than 50 clubs including satellite launching club.

Excellent Alumni support gives good exposure.
Placements: In 2021 batch about 65-70 percent students were placed, remaining students opted for higher education for Masters degree. The highest package offered is 41 LPA. Average package offered is 11lpa. Companies including Tata Steel, JSW steel, Hero Honda etc. Come for recruitment. Almost all students got internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure in campus is pretty good. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus even in classrooms. Labs is department are up to date with necessary testing equipment, microscopes etc. And are always open to students. Library has stock of almost all books necessary for course. Hostel infrastructure is moderate.
Faculty: Teachers are all well-qualified. Majority of faculty is post doctorate in concerned topic and provide help to interested students. Course curriculum is quite relevant to real time. Curriculum changes every four years with some additions or subtractions suiting the changing times.
Other: Events, fests are happening all year round. Sports, cultural etc.
