Daulat Ram College Admission Process 2025

Q&A Icon
Commonly asked questions
On Admissions
Q: Β  Can I join Daulat Ram College without CUET?
A:

No, you cannot join Daulat Ram College without CUET. CUET is the only entrance exam accepted for admission to Daulat Ram College and other central and participating state universities in India.

The Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUET) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs in central universities and participating state universities. The CUET exam was introduced in 2022 to replace the different entrance exams that were previously conducted by individual universities.

The CUET exam consists of three sections:

* Section A: Language Test (English)

* Section B: Domain-specific Test (Science/Mathematics/Humanities)

* Section C: General Test

Candidates can choose to appear for any combination of sections, depending on the programme they are applying to.

To apply for admission to Daulat Ram College, candidates will need to register for the CUET exam and appear for the relevant sections. After the CUET results are declared, candidates will need to register for the Central Seat Allocation System (CSAS) and apply to Daulat Ram College.

The admission process to Daulat Ram College will be based on the candidate's CUET score and other factors such as reservation and extracurricular activities.

If you are interested in applying to Daulat Ram College, I recommend that you start preparing for the CUET exam early. You should also research the college carefully and make sure that it is a good fit for your academic and career goals.

Q: Β  Can I get admission to Daulat Ram College with 60% in Class 12th?
A:

It is difficult to say for certain whether you can get admission to Daulat Ram College with 60% in Class 12th, as the cut-off marks vary each year depending on the number and quality of applicants. However, 60% is a decent score, and you should have a chance of getting admission to some of the less popular courses at the college.

To improve your chances of getting into Daulat Ram College, you should try to score well in the CUET exam, which is now used for admissions to all Delhi University colleges. You should also keep an eye on the cut-off marks released by the college each year, and apply for courses that are within your reach.

Small and cozy women college.
Placements: There are internship programs that are mainly offered by different groups. 60% to 80% placement rates as per the data of Vriddhi Placement Cell. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, Wipro, Deloitte, etc. The percentage of students got internships at Daulat Ram College is more than 200 with monthly stipend of Rs 15,000.
Infrastructure: Our college has full AC library, labs, and classrooms. Hostel have limited student seats and only applicable for distant students. Canteen is good with nice food and has good options. Hostel provide better food, and it is safe for girls with better food and sanitation.
Faculty: Overall, teaching quality is best. Teachers are very humble and helpful. The curriculum is very relevant. Through the good teachers, semester exams do not bother anyone. Students are provided with quality PDFs and suggestions from good writers which help them in passing the exams perfectly. Faculty members are good with nice and humble professors.
Other: History department of Daulat Ram is known for its better education and quality teaching, and ranks among top faculty. But there is one problem with non-AC classrooms in history department. Events and fests are conducted with little budget, they need to be sponsored well. Overall, crowd is good and students are friendly.

The college is nice overall, on the basis of the environment and such.
Placements: The average package at my college for courses like B.Com (Hons) ranges from 12 LPA to 32 LPA, with the lowest packages going up to 2 LPA or 3 LPA, and the highest packages reaching 32 LPA. Top recruiting firms include Deloitte, Zomato, and J.P. Morgan. Around 40% of the students receive great packages.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is okayish in terms of the classrooms, they are kind of less spacious, although the new building is spacious and fully air-conditioned, so that's not a problem. The labs are very good with working facilities of computers and AC.
Faculty: The faculty is both good and bad. It depends on the course, the semester, and the subjects. The courses are relatable as all of the colleges have the same courses, so there's no difference. Almost everyone passes except for the 5% of students who don't study.

Dissatisfied with placements facilities and the fee is 2X compared to other DU colleges.
Placements: There is a 0% placement rate in my course. The only thing a person can do from this course is become a dietician. At an internship fair, there is no vacancy for my course. I did my internship on Linkedin and in social media manager fields except for me, no one did any internship in my course. You have to do your research to get an internship or job.
Infrastructure: We don't get some big areas for our departments. It starts with one room and ends. Wi-Fi doesn't work. Labs are too small. We barely fit. The strength of my class is 48. The library is okay. The canteen is good. Medical facilities are too bad. The sports complex is bad. There is no cleaning. The ground is only used for concerts. The hostel prices are like 1 lakh per year as my friend lives in a college hostel, and the food is bad. Labs of other departments are good. Mine is so small.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and good but the course and syllabus are not very relevant because topics seem like 5th-class EVS, vitamins, and nutrients stuff. Semester exams are pretty decent, and not hard at all. The passing mark is above 30 in theory exams. If we get into your DSC's practicals, we have to repeat the theory exams too.
Other: I didn't have much knowledge about the course and stuff. All I wanted was to join a north-campus college. My DRC rank was 17 at that time. Ths year, we got 72 ranks. The best thing about my course is that its not that hard like hons courses. I think they should add more information to the course instead of teaching food reviews and cleaning stuff. All I learnt in these 2 years is making diets and cooking food. Events are okay. The campus crowd is nice. I have many friends so connectivity and socializing are never a problem.

B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology - Batch of 2027

Infrastructure is average, but college life and environment are fun, and faculty is wonderful.
Placements: I'm still in 2nd year pursuing psychology honors. After a Bachelor's in psychology, there are not many placement opportunities one could go for, as it's not enough. However, if someone wants to work in HR, the placement cell provides ample opportunities. 3 of my seniors got into it through placement cell, as only they tried for it. But for other courses, it's very helpful. Around 70% students get internships and are placed by companies like Wipro, Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not big, but very beautiful and nice. One building is under construction, so of course it will be bigger. However, it's still quite nice. All the departmental classes have AC and Wi-Fi working so well, unlike other DUDU colleges. Some classrooms are big, some are small, according to their usage, however, it's pretty nice. Library is very good, it's a two-floor library that has almost everything for every course. It's huge, spacious, and has AC along with proper Wi-Fi. Hostel is very good, very big, the rooms are pretty big, and overall it's neat, also with greenery everywhere.
Faculty: Faculty is the best. Unlike other colleges, they really want to help, and that's why they provide all the materials and things themselves. Especially, the psychology department faculty is very well qualified and helpful. All the senior teachers are Ph.D. holders with ample knowledge. Course curriculum is really relevant to how it should be. We have practical classes along with theory ones to give proper knowledge about practical application of the theory as well. Semester exams are moderately tough. I can say that if you study well just 1 month before exam, you can score around 8-8.5 CGPA easily.
Other: Fest was awesome this year, the best of all. Campus life is always fun. All because of being on north campus, even if it's a girls' college, there is enough opposite gender interaction if one wants to have it. I think for psychology, it's one of the best colleges you can go to in India.

B.Sc. Life Sciences at DRC.
Placements: 55% of students were placed. The highest package is around 19 LPA, the average package stood at 14 LPA, and the lowest package stood at 3-5 LPA. Companies such as Biocon, Serum Institute, and Abbott were the recruiters. The roles offered are of a research scientist and a clinical research associate, which are the most common ones.
Infrastructure: There are around 50 classrooms in total, of which 20-25 have smart boards and projectors. The library is air-conditioned, comprising 2 floors. Also, there are 18 science labs, including neuropharmacology and cancer research labs. Sadbhavna Bhavan auditorium has a capacity of 2500 and is used for cultural events. Besides this, the college also has the Rangshala amphitheater and seminar halls. The sports complex has an indoor badminton court, chess and table tennis facilities, a gym is also present, and an outdoor ground for other sports is also available.
Faculty: Teaching faculty is nice, most of the teachers are well qualified and hold a Ph.D. degree. Some teachers in the botany department do not provide study material, but the other departments are quite nice. The course syllabus comprises Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, as well as Bioinformatics. It makes students industry ready as it gives good practical exposure as well. Semester exams, on the other hand, are moderately tough.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to study Biology in detail. Moreover, I was preparing for NEET and was not getting a good college, so DU seemed a good option. This course provides practical exposure through hands-on training. However, I wish there were more opportunities for internships organised by the department, as it would be quite helpful. The campus life is amazing. The college is in the North Campus, hence it has great connectivity with the metro. Nearby is the Kamla Nagar market, which has everything from shopping to amazing cafes.

Very bad infra, lack imp societies.
Placements: The highest package offered is approximately 22 LPA, while the lowest package is around 3 LPA. Only one or two companies provide such high packages; in fact, 95% of companies are offering packages in the range of 5-6 LPA, which is relatively low. I must emphasize that the placements at the college are not good at all, so don't rely solely on them.
Infrastructure: We have a very poor infrastructure. There's no building for the commerce department, a new one has been under construction for the past 4-5 years. We mostly have classes in the tute rooms which can accommodate only 20-30 people at a time which is just half of the class size I. e. 50 approximately. The auditorium is bad, just 1 conference hall, lack of computer systems.
Faculty: Faculty members are okayish, they're knowledgeable but most of them just depend on the old technique of rot learning. The course curriculum is fine, but it doesn't make the students industry-ready. Students take this course very lightly, they're mostly engaged in extracurricular. The semester exams aren't difficult at all, I think most people usually pass easily only.
Other: The college really lacks in terms of society. Even the basic and important societies like 180dc, enactus, marketing, finance, and many more are not present in this college. This is really disappointing.

The Daulat Ram College BSc cutoff marks result from various parameters ranging from the number of candidates and overall performance in CUET to the availability of seats and the popularity of programmes. Category-wise reservations or past trends further modulate this competition at the time of admission. Another important factor is the level of difficulty involved in CUET, which varies the total marks and hence changes the cutoff values. Q: Β  How are Daulat Ram College 2023 cut off marks determined?
A:

The Daulat Ram College 2023 cut-off marks are determined by the following factors:

* *Number of applicants:* The cut-off marks are higher for courses that have a higher number of applicants.

* *Quality of applicants:* The cut-off marks are also higher for courses that have a higher percentage of high-scoring applicants.

* *Reservation policy:* The college reserves seats for students from different categories, such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). The cut-off marks for reserved category seats are usually lower than the cut-off marks for general category seats.

The college releases multiple cut-off lists after the CUET results are declared. The first cut-off list is usually the highest, and the subsequent cut-off lists are lower. The college continues to release cut-off lists until all the seats are filled.

*Here is a step-by-step process of how the Daulat Ram College 2023 cut-off marks are determined:*

1. The college receives the CUET scores of all the applicants who have applied to the college.

2. The college ranks all the applicants based on their CUET scores.

3. The college then determines the number of seats available for each course, taking into account the reservation policy.

4. The college then starts releasing cut-off lists. The first cut-off list includes the top-ranked applicants for each course.

5. The college then allocates seats to the applicants who meet the cut-off marks.

6. The college continues to release cut-off lists and allocate seats until all the seats are filled.

It is important to note that the cut-off marks vary each year depending on the factors mentioned above. Therefore, it is difficult to predict the exact cut-off marks for Daulat Ram College in 2023. However, you can keep an eye on the previous year's cut-off marks to get an idea of the range of cut-off marks that you can expect.
