DSCE is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University for their respective syllabi. In addition to the prescribed curriculum, students are encouraged to take on project work for hands-on experience. The college has a good placement record. During the 2025 drive, 1,181 students were placed. The highest count recorded in past three years. The highest package bagged by the students was INR 56 LPA. This was again the highest amount recorded in the past three years. The college witnessed the participation of 350 companies during Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering placements 2025.
