Good faculty, mediocre college.
Placements: DCAC placements are average, with a majority of them going to students with a commerce background. In English honours course, very few students sat for placements, and none of them got placed. The highest package was 7-8 LPA, and the average package was 3.5 LPA. EY, KPMG, and Deloitte were the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is mediocre. The classrooms have only fans, but the library is spacious and air conditioned. The canteen is a single large room with a decent variety of food. There is one ground for sports, where students mostly play football. There is also a basketball court and table tennis facilities.
Faculty: The faculty in the English department are great teachers, except for a few. They are very knowledgeable about their subjects and their teaching methods are top-notch. The semester exams are relatively okay if we study well enough.

Honest review of DCAC, DU.
Placements: The college has a placement cell that gives out free internship opportunities available for students of all courses. The information is sent on WhatsApp groups of subject groups. Other than that, only the commerce department students get campus placements. The lowest package is 4 LPA, and the highest is 11 LPA for last year. Top recruiting companies are E&Y and Deloitte. Almost 70 percent of students get campus placements. The top roles offered are from auditing and finance.
Infrastructure: The campus is quite comfortable, with two buildings having three floors each. Other than that, there is an admin department that hosts a committee room, enquiry desks, and the library. The old building contains the arts department, multi-purpose hall, old committee room, staff room, pantry, and girls' common room, along with journalism labs. The new building consists of the gym and attached corridors to the administrative office. There is no Wi-Fi access for students. The classrooms are fine and vary in size. The library is vast and filled with endless books and has an OPAC system to easily find books without having to roam the shelves. There is no hostel, but the canteen is just fine. It offers affordable meals, quick snacks, and freshly made shakes. The ground hosts cricket, basketball, table tennis, and football, among other sports. The only downsides are water logging during immense rain and the slightly limited area for the campus.
Faculty: The teachers mostly have post-graduation degrees or Ph.D.'s in their area of specialization. They are quite knowledgeable and helpful. They teach with utmost sincerity and passion. They are well-equipped with information about a variety of topics to choose from. They put in extra hard work to find out about the novels and poems being read in class. The curriculum is relevant for those students who have a keen interest in reading and literature and wish to pursue academia as a career. The semester exams can easily be passed with a CGPA of 7 and above if one regularly attends classes and pays attention. Assignments, attendance, class tests, and exam marks make up the total CGPA. The passing percentage is 33/100.
Other: I chose this course due to my excellent hold over the English language. The course allows me to dive into the world of literature and teaches us about the history of movements and art that affected literature over time. I would wish for improvement in areas of screening movies based on novels. The projectors are often taken off, or permission to screen the movies is not given easily. Since we are located right behind a civil servant's society, we are not allowed to gather large masses and have a single fest, so each society hosts its own fest based on its domain. Thus, the fests last for about 2-3 months, adding to the social life in college. It allows for multiple activities and famous personalities to visit our college. The crowd is mixed, but it is easy to make friends. The location of the college is in a posh area with Leela Palace being a 5-minute walk away and Sarojini Nagar just 10 minutes away. Embassies, Chanakya Bagh, and India Gate are within an 8 km radius. Extracurricular activities are offered through joining clubs, performances, and sports.

Satisfied because of the friends I made in college.
Placements: There was no placement offer from the college for English Hons. If you want to work, you can connect through the placement cell, where they post some placements (1 or 2). My course students themselves haven't taken internships seriously as they want government jobs; some students who want to enter corporate have performed several internships. So, I would say around 20% of students have gotten internships.
Infrastructure: Being an arts and commerce college, my college provides a computer lab to the students. We have a good library with sufficient space, and there is no Wi-Fi. The washrooms are clean, drinking water is also clean, and the canteen is now good (earlier there were complaints, but now they are resolved). My college doesn't have a hostel.
Faculty: The faculty of my college is top-notch, very understanding, and qualified. The teachers are helpful and not that strict. My course, English Hons, is purely based on literature. Semester exams totally depend on your preparation; if you study, you'll score well, and vice versa.
Other: My batch students are quite selfish and self-centered. They don't have any social relations, and I don't know, they are quite weird. They think they are superior in the college, but they are not. Fests in my college don't happen, and it's not worth considering them. As my college is surrounded by embassies and government executives' apartments, they don't allow any kind of noise and loud music. Being a disadvantage, it also has a positive side; the surrounding areas are safe.

Great faculty and teachers, but the infrastructure needs to be improved.
Placements: From the 5th semester, students become eligible for placement by the college. I do not know the names of the companies that offered jobs and visited. I think 3 Lacs per annum is the average package. Very few students get placements. I don't know any company because I didn't fill out the placement application process, but my friends got placements with a very average package. They offer jobs in different courses with different posts according to students' potential and their marks.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good. The infrastructure needs to be improved, like by paint or cleanliness. There is no car parking inside the college. Car parking is only for staff members. There is bike parking inside the college. Different societies engage with freshers to make them join their societies.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is excellent. Teachers are also very good at engaging with students. All teachers are well-qualified in their subjects. They are specialized in their subjects. The faculty of the college approaches every student of the batch to teach them everything possible so that none of the students miss anything. If a student wants to ask a professor apart from the college time, then professors interact with students as early as possible. If students don't understand some topic in class, then professors engage in online classes after college time. Overall, the faculty of our college is very helpful and excellent. They have so much experience. One of our professors has got the opportunity to teach at Oxford University. The faculty is excellent and helpful.
Other: I have chosen English Honors as my course, in which I will complete my graduation. Actually, from school, I have a very good interest in English literature, so I choose this course. English literature is a very interesting course that doesn't bore you at all. The curriculum prepared by the college is very good. They aim to complete the course in a very understandable manner. They want the syllabus to be completed as soon as possible, so that the student gets time for revision. They not only teach English literature by a novel but also by movies of the novel. I don't think they need any improvement at all. The consistency of teaching by them is very good. The exams feel very easy because of the curriculum made by them.

Review of Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, University of Delhi.
Placements: The placement cell offers good opportunities to students in their fifth and sixth semester. Companies like EY, collegedunia, missionEd, Socio Sift, and different NGOs. My plans after getting the degree are to either go for a master's or to work somewhere. Different companies like EY, Vaeral Media, The HouseWife, Urban Company, and LetsAid offer different roles such as business development and sales, technology, marketing, human resources, and campus ambassador.
Infrastructure: The library is good, with lots of good books. There are no amenities in the classrooms. Our college is good in terms of sports, be it basketball or football, but there is no girls' team or coach. You have to practice on your own.
Faculty: Faculty members of the English department are great. The pandemic has changed everything, but teachers were giving their best while teaching virtually. I do miss offline classes, but online classes are the new normal. Teachers are well-qualified from good colleges. Exams are conducted on time. Teachers provide students with lots of assignments to cover the syllabus and understand the topics effectively. Passing exams is not that difficult.
Other: I chose this course because I have always liked reading and writing. Literature really makes me happy. I got admission through a merit list, which was followed by verification of the documents required at the time of admission. After that, the payment is made through online mode and the admission process is confirmed. The last festival was conducted virtually because of the pandemic. There are many societies in DCAC, like photography, dance, fashion, and also different societies for different departments. There are many extracurricular activities happening around the college. These activities include events from different societies in the college, such as the marketing society, NSS UNIT, ENACTUS, and MERCADO.
