Best college for achieving success in each and every field or course.

Placements: I'm still just a fresher in college but it's Dr. DY Patil; they never disappoint students; they will definitely provide the best placement at the best companies to students who are eligible. I'm in the microbiology field and as per my seniors, they got nice placement to their requirements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is the best in town as per my point of view , and no other college provides facilities, which I'm getting. Classrooms are top-notch, the library is maintained so well , labs are also at their best , hostels are also kept in proper discipline, and the food provided is healthy, no worries.

Faculty: Staff is so helpful, all the teachers are available to help or guide students , they are also highly educated and qualified in their own field , and proper training and practicals are taken so each and every student should get industry-ready, and the difficulty level of semester exams and practicals is moderate here, not too hard .

Other: I want to do my career in the medical field so I chose microbiology as my specialty. The best thing about my course is that the practicals in microbiology are so interesting. All things are good but teachers should manage the timetable properly so students routines should not be disturbed. College is also known as most events are being organized in college because each and every festival and special day is celebrated here .

The only good thing about this college is the faculty.

Placements: The college doesn't offer placement in the microbiology course as of now. However, they have promised to give placement starting from the next academic session. Nothing much to hope for as the syllabus is outdated, and the course is pretty much a stepping ladder for a master’s.

Infrastructure: Labs, Library well-equipped. There is a new canteen with affordable food. no such thing as gymkhana, sports games, etc. The campus is small, and the parking is small as well. Congestion during lecture timings is evident, and one cannot park inside the campus during the mornings.

Faculty: Faculties are the best thing. Well-educated PhD holders who have an interest in their subjects as well as teaching. Their behaviour towards the students is a little harsh, and they are strict with attendance, journals, and other formalities of the college. Practical teachers are very helpful.

Faculty members are arrogant and egoistic but their knowledge is above par.

Placements: There are no placements in the Microbiology department. Teachers are egoistic. They just care about our attendance. If attendance in lectures is low then they don't let us perform the practical which is insane. They make us stand while others perform the practicals. Even if we are smart and have a genuine reason for skipping the lecture.

Infrastructure: I have heard that the infrastructure is good. The food, water, and everything are fine, not good but not bad as well. Wi-Fi password is not given to students and it is only for faculty members. The library is amazing with all the academic books. Classrooms are big but the benches are small and broken. There are no sanitary pads in the girl's washrooms and no mirrors to check whether we're appropriately dressed. Washrooms stinks and there is no handwash, no issues, and no hand dryer. There is no dustbin in the washrooms.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified and amazing. But the fact is that they just yell every time we do something wrong that blows up our minds. If we speak or give the answers during class they will deny our answers. If we just by chance make a mistake they are gonna hate us and taunt us for the rest of our academic year.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to be a pathologist. Other activities like photography, drawing, mehendi, dance, etc., are always held. It is amazing.

Our college is good in terms of placements and education.

Placements: Our college provides good placements. Almost 80-90% of students got placed with an average salary package of 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Supra, Tech Mahindra, IBF, and Bosch. The highest salary package offered is 80 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our university has accommodation for boys and girls which makes their stay comfortable and safe. Girl's hostel has a capacity of 167 rooms which accommodates 590 girls. Boy's hostel has a capacity of 160 rooms which accommodates 480 boys.

Faculty: Our teachers are good. They make the topic more interesting which makes students more relevant to study. Our university exams are not much difficult. There are options in the exam. There is no entrance exam for our course at the UG level.

Other: Extracurricular activities like dancing, singing, debate, and poster competition are conducted throughout the year in our college.

The reality of our college.

Placements: There were no placements provided for my course in our college. I think placements are only offered in post graduation. They sent some links for job openings in our class WhatsApp group and that was it. We were honestly quite disappointed. You cannot get a lot of high positioned roles after doing this course and will get a low package as well. I would suggest going for post graduation.

Infrastructure: There was no hostel for our college. We lived in PGs. The facilities and infrastructure for our department was satisfactory. But whenever they didn't have any equipments, they skipped the practicals. It wasn't informative. The practicals were not done as I hoped they would which was disappointing. I expected to learn a lot more.

Faculty: The teachers are highly educated but do not teach properly except some. They just finish the course somehow and usually only focus on the good students. The average and below average students are looked down upon. The curriculum isn't practical.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue M.Sc clinical embryology and it was a good option. I wish they had inculcated information that was relevant throughout the world and not just Maharashtra oriented. I honestly didn't like the crowd and there were no exciting fests or events. It's not very hip in that perspective.
