DYPSOET Pune offers a two-year Master of Engineering (ME) which is considered similar to an MTech. As per the available information, taking direct admission to ME at DY Patil School of Engineering and Technology may not be possible. It is because the admission to the programme is entrance-based. Seats are allocated to applicants through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the Maharashtra CET cell. The MHT CET M.Tech CAP is based on the applicants' GATE scores. Further, aspirants must satisfy the preset eligibility criteria.

Candidates need to pass graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate to apply for Dr. D.Y. Patil School of Engineering and Technology ME programmes. Aspirants must also pass MHT CET M.Tech or GATE for admission to ME courses. Candidates must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

DYPSOET Pune offers entrance-based admission to its ME programme. The institute accepts admissions through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the Maharashtra CET cell (DTE). To participate in the CAP, candidates must have a valid GATE score. Hence, GATE is the entrance exam required to secure ME admission at DYPSOET Pune. The DYPSOET Pune ME admission dates vary from year to year. These dates depend on the timelines of the accepted entrance exam (GATE) and the MHTCET M.Tech CAP counselling. Some important dates for DYPSOET ME aspirants as per the latest admission cycle are as follows:
