Review of Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering.
Placements: Placements in our college are great, but only for some branches. In branches like Mechanical and Electronics, placements are little to none. Even students who get placed have packages in the range of 3.5 to 8 LPA. About 45–50% of students receive placements.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided are above average, yet not up to the mark. Given the fee that one has to pay, the infrastructure can be much better. Opportunities for students interested in sports are little to none, and the college does not do anything about it.
Faculty: Faculty members for Mechanical Engineering are excellent. Faculty members are quite knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. The majority of the course curriculum is relevant not as much as to make students industry-ready, but definitely useful. The semester exams are easy.
Other: I chose Mechanical Engineering in this college as it is one of the best in Mumbai for this particular course. The best part about the course is definitely the SAE teams.

I am not satisfied because of its teachers but provides good placements for 2020.
Placements: Around 95% of students are placed in the B.Tech mechanical engineering batch of 2020. The highest salary package offered is 20 LPA, and the lowest salary pacakge offered is 4 LPA. The average salary package offered is 7 LPA. Around 70% of students get internships from mechanical. The top role offered is project manager.
Infrastructure: The students are provided with Wi-Fi. There is a huge canteen accessible to students at all times and with a good menu. Library is also open to all the students between college hours and has almost all books for more than enough subjects, also issuing of the book for a week is available.
Faculty: The professors are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also very good. The course curriculum is very relevant to the industry. It makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are tough but almost everyone passes.

It is the 3rd best college in Mumbai.
Placements: I am a 2016 passed out batch student. During my tenure, around 1/4 of the total strength, i.e., about 75 students, got placements from our branch. Most of the students opted for the IT sector because the number of core mechanical companies which visited the college was less. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. The top roles offered here were business associate, sales and database management.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of our college are one of the best in Mumbai. Labs are clean here, and every machine is in working condition. The classrooms have central cooling, which is an advantage during summers. The library has a huge range of books consisting of all genres. The library has working laptops and computers, so students don't have to bring them. The canteen ambience is tranquil, and the canteen offers food items ranging from vada pav to pizza, burger to a brownie. Food items are pocket-friendly to every student.
Faculty: The faculty members of the mechanical branch are mediocre. The course structure is also not up to the industry standards. Teachers have a good grasp of the subject but have to be limited in providing knowledge due to the course structure. The teaching quality was average as per college standards. Since the college is autonomous now, I believe that the course structure would get industry-oriented.

Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering is an amazing college in Mumbai.
Placements: This year, few students got placed as compared to the previous year because of COVID-19. Top recruiting companies like Godrej and Tecnimont visit our college to hire students with a salary package of 5 LPA. Almost every student got an internship at the college. A top role offered in our course is graduate engineer trainee. Even non-technical companies visit our college for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is amazing with air-conditioned room and smart TV for reaching. Quality of the food served in the canteen is good and tasty. Library facilities are amazing with access to research papers. I never visited the hostel, so I can't give a review on it.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified. They have years of experience in teaching. Their teaching quality is good. They use a smart TV to teach students. They explain with a lot of actual pictures which makes students understand perfectly. Indian education does not make students industry-ready.

One of the best colleges in terms of placements and level of excellence.
Placements: A placement committee is available in our college which looks after the placements. Almost 100% of the students got placements through our college, but the condition is they should satisfy all the criteria of the companies. There are restrictions for the students to get placed, but all the students will get equal opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is excellent. The college is centrally air-conditioned. Labs and Wi-Fi facilities are provided for the students. Classrooms are modern, and there is a special game room available for students. The library is one the best and the quietest one where all students love to study.
Faculty: All the faculty members are friendly. They are very helpful, and students are free to ask them anything. Most of the students have contact numbers of the faculty members. So we can text them whenever we face any difficulties. The course and curriculum are also decent.
Other: Our college organises many events and fests like Trinity, Nirmiti, etc.

Review of D. J. Sanghvi College of Engineering.
Placements: The percentage of students getting placed from our college has been very high from the last 2 years. The highest salary package offered was 12.5 LPA by JP Morgan last year, and around 25 students were placed in the same company. Around 96% of the students were placed in the mechanical department. The lowest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA by Acute Informatics Pvt., Ltd. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA last year, and it was a successful year in terms of placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is pretty good. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Labs are well-equipped. Classrooms are well maintained, and each has two A/Cs. There is also a room for recreation with a carrom board and a table tennis table. The only issue is that the college lacks the spacious campus where students can spend some time by involving in activities like sports, dance, music etc. Overall, the college has excellent infrastructure.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very knowledgeable. They are approachable and very friendly as well. They do not only stick to the old school method of teaching but also teach us with the help of videos to give us more insight into reality. The student to faculty ratio in the class is 60:1, and it might seem high, but they handle the class in a very professional manner. We also had an industrial visit to a tyre company in Chakan.
Other: As it is a Gujarati college, the majority of the crowd belongs to Gujarat. Our college organises a fest named Trinity in which students can participate in various events like technical events, sports, drama etc. The college is located in Vile Parle which is just next to Andheri, and thus, has very good connectivity across the city.

The infrastructure and amenities are good.
Placements: Many companies like Blue Star, ZF, Accenture, Infosys, TCS, Byju's, etc., visited our college to offer placements. Companies visit the campus all around the year. A systematic placement process is followed to understand the applicant's calibre. This makes sure that the deserving students do get placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is top-notch. All the classrooms are well-equipped with computers and projectors. At any time of the day, visual presentations can be used without booking any slots or going to a particular AV room. Labs have enough equipment to cater to the needs of all students. The canteen is lavish and offers a variety of food items at moderate prices.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and know different methods of teaching. They reach out to students who are lagging behind. They are always there for students. They carry our experiments and presentations as well for a better understanding of concepts. They help us in preparing for the final examinations by listing out important questions.
Other: Fests are conducted every year. A new concept is introduced every year. Every department takes part in it. It includes games, cultural activities, debates, gigs, annual days, concert, etc. Most of the campus crowd is intellectual enough which makes the conversation meaningful. Location of the college is apt as its connectivity by all modes of transport is easy. Scholarships are available for the eligible students.

It is a superb college. They conduct every activity. The placements are also good.
Placements: The placement was average, around 50-60% students were placed on our campus. Many students are doing internships in well-known companies. The placement officer also helps us, and guide us in many ways and motivate us to grab the opportunity to be placed in the company.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is fabulous. Air-conditioners, library, medical facilities are very well-maintained and provided to student adequately. The ground, sports day, annual day are conducted in the hall and ground. There is a silent environment in the library. The bookshelf is well-maintained.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful. They help us after their college timings as well. They keep a note on each student. They help us in every aspect such as project work, term work etc. They also solve our problems, they deal with our problem during breaks.

The placement record of college is very good. Some claiming it to be 100%. Big companies like Tata, TCS, Infosys etc are frequent recruiters here. The highest reported package is around 60 lakhs per annum with average being at around 7 lakhs.

Most probably, you may get admission. But, there are conditions applied like, if you belong to Gujrati minority, or if you apply through institute quota, you may end up securing a seat in mechanical branch. Wish you all the best.
