B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2023

Our college has good infrastructure and facilities, but placements are not good.
Placements: In our college, only 1-2% of students are placed. The highest and lowest salary packages are not offered in our department. Top recruiting companies do not visit our campus. Almost 40-50% of students get internships at Tata Steel, etc. Top roles offered are AutoCAD designer, automobile engineer, and mechanical engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus and hostel. The medical facilities are not available. Medical services are available. There is a van to take you to a government hospital. The food served in the college canteen is average. The gym is available on campus.
Faculty: Our faculty members are supportive. Our teachers are very helpful. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. The course makes students industry-ready. There are a total of eight semesters in four years. A CGPA of 6.5 is required to pass.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because of my interest in it. I make some creative tools for using AutoCAD software, as well as being an automobile engineer. AutoCAD is in high demand throughout the world. In this course, we will learn how to connect the real world with our technology. Every year, our college organises a fresher's party for the freshers, annual sports, and an annual function. From the 10th to the 28th of January, I will be participating in annual sports.

Our college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Less than 5% of students got placed in our college. Our college does not provide placements for our department but provides placements for the CSE branch. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Companies won't visit our college to recruit B.Tech students. Some companies like NoBroker and Searching Yard visit our college. Almost 50% of students got internships from our department. Top roles offered are AutoCAD designer, machinal engineer, automobile engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good. Wi-Fi is available on our campus and hostel. Medical facilities and a gym are available on campus. The food served in our canteen is average.
Faculty: Our faculty members are supportive, very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good. The course makes students industry-ready. We have 8 semesters in 4 years. The pass percentage is 6 CGPA.
Other: I opted for this course because I am from a mechanical engineering background, and I want to invent something for our society. I want to become an AutoCAD designer. Through this course, we will learn how to connect real-world activities to our technology. Our college conducts a freshers' party every year. Our campus organises annual sports and annual functions.

Not good placement, good infrastructure and facilities etc.

The highest package is (CSE department when I'm sited but not crack ) 7LPA and average package is 3 LPA. In my department not come any companies only come software companies. 20% of students get an internship in my department companies like tata steel, hero motors etc. In department motors engineer's, auto cad design engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The faculty members are supportive and the infrastructure of the college is quite good. There is Wi-Fi available on the college campus and only 1 hostel also. There is also a medical facility available on the college campus. The food of the college canteen is average and there is also a GYM available on the college campus. And big ground to play football and cricket and a separate volleyball court and basketball also.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and supportive they are well qualified and knowledgeable and their teaching quality is very good which is available in the college to make the student industry ready. There is a total of eight semesters in 4years and the passing percentage is 6cgpa.
Other: I choose mechanical engineering because of my interest in auto cad design engineering, demanding and this course makes me think about creativity and inventing something for our society. Every year there are freshers' parties for the freshers and annual sports and annual functions organized on campus. And this month going to organise two annual sports.

Students can have a good experience at GIET BBSR.
Placements: Around 80% of the students, the total students got placed in different core and software companies. Most of the companies were from Gurgaon. Top role offered was production engineer and quality. The average salary offered was less than Rs. 20,000 per month. Students got chances for internships at HAL, NALCO, NTPC, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college was fully loaded with facilities like other colleges. We were using Wi-Fi in college as well as in hostels. Classrooms were spacious and comfortable for teaching and learning. The library was available with the necessary books. Food quality was average. Mostly we were forcefully purchasing food from outside.
Faculty: Teachers were very cooperative, had good subject knowledge. They were very helpful in providing study materials before examinations. The courses provided were relevant to industry standards. Semesters exams were moderate. The pass percentage was 70%.
Other: I chose this course because of career growth and personal interest. The course structure should be more realistic and updated. Our college campus was overloaded with sports and other functions and events. Scholarships were provided every year to encourage students.

Everything on the campus is good and I would recommend joining this college.
Placements: Many placements are available, and most of them are IT-based placements. Everyone can get placement here. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA, and many students get their jobs. There is also a mechanical campus. So you can get a job easily. The lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Good food is served, and classrooms are normal. Wi-Fi is available, and there is a TV in the canteen. Water is provided for 2 hours in the morning and evening.
Faculty: Teachers are very good, helpful and knowledgeable. They are well-experienced. They help you in every step. Semesters are also easy.
Other: Everything on the campus is fine. I recommend doing an IT course here.

If you want to take admission here, then concentrate only on our study.
Placements: I am a student from 2016-2020 batch from the mechanical branch. I am pursuing my course now. As per our college placements records, most of the companies which offer placements are 3rd party vendors, while only a few companies are real. Every year approximately 70-80% of the students get selected in various companies, but the salary package offered is not that satisfying. Some of the good recruiting companies of our college are Infinite Solutions, Bajaj, Motocorp, Sharda Motors, SEPCO3, etc. The highest salary package offered in this year is 5 LPA, while the average salary package offered is 2 LPA. Most of the students search internships on their own in many top companies like SAIL, NALCO, TATA Motors, DVC, IBM, Microsoft, etc. Top roles offered by the companies to students are graduate trainee, associate officer, assistant manager and field officer.
Infrastructure: All classrooms are in very nice condition, and some of them are digitalised and enabled with Wi-Fi facility. Labs and workshops are also in average condition but not very bad. The hostel facility is very good because of the nice room adjustment, but the hostel environment is not enough good. Mess and canteen are average.
Faculty: In our branch, faculty members are knowledgeable, and most of them are very talented. They are also very helpful &and also help students in any situation. Most of them have vast experience in teaching. The entire course curriculum is relevant, and it is a little bit enough to make students industry-ready.
Other: In my childhood, I was passionate about mechanical parts, machine and also instruments. All these things attract and encourage me to choose the mechanical branch. From time to time, many events and fests are organised by prospective committees. The campus surrounding include forest and village area as it is situated outside the city. There are many students from different states, and they get scholarships from their respective states.

I'm absolutely satisfied because of the good campus environment.
Placements: I have attended an interview which was conducted by Reliance Industry to hire freshers, and I got selected in that interview. I came to Chennai for my job. Within a year after joining my work here, I gained good experience with knowledge. The most important thing is that I started speaking fluent English.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, bus, cab, canteen, and sports, etc., are available in our college. The design of the college and its corridor is good. It is a good campus with beautiful environment and atmosphere. I recommend a future aspirant to join this college for a good and bright future. Nowadays, students are not satisfied with engineering colleges, as most of the colleges are not focusing on maintaining good academic standards.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful. They have good knowledge and experience. When I was a student, teachers always asked me to participate in extracurricular activities like sports and games. They always helped me to achieve my goals.
Other: The campus was always crowded.

College administration is not good. I recommend others to stay away from their fake promises.
Placements: There are lots of placement drives conducted on the campus, but consultancy services conduct all of them. I joined a company through the college campus drive. I am not going to mention the name of the company, but there we were instructed by the consultancy person that not to say anything to the other employees about our qualifications. When we started talking to the other employees in that company, they replied that they joined there without any qualifications and just by showing their Adhaar card. We were forced to work there for 12 hours like labours, and the food was also bad.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure on the campus is average. In the hostel, they said that they provide 24-hours water, library, and Wi-Fi, but they actually lied as they just provided water for 1 hour in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. They are not maintaining good environment on the campus. They only start working when the new admission time arrives.
Faculty: The teachers are average, and they are not providing a good plan, seminars, and yearly study tours. They also taught us AutoCAD, CATIA, etc., and they took extra money for these but never gave certificates. Every time we reported it to our faculty, and they have excuses like the respective faculty has left the college, etc.
Other: Our college management is poor to handle any time of disturbance in college. In my batch, I remember that moment when the local crowd was running behind us with pipes and rods. In this incident, most of the students were injured badly, but the college was silent in this case. It was also not the first time, and it is common in our college.
