Good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: In my course, about 25-30% of students are recruited. Major companies include Oxane, Kraftshala, Ukti, Ditto, etc. The top roles are marketing specialists, data analysts, web designers, digital marketing, and SEO specialists. My course is B.A. Prog in Economics Major and Computer Application Minor. The highest package is 6.6 LPA, and the average is 4 LPA. About 25-30% of students bagged internships in companies like KPMG, Cognizen, and Gao Tek, while about 60-65% get internships in startups like VQMS Pvt. Ltd, Hypedin, Ukti, Qualftech, and many more, out of which most of them are unpaid.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure overall is great. There are 3 computer labs in the college, of which 2 have Google Chromebooks for students. All laptops and PCs are connected to Wi-Fi, which is shared with students. The college also issues laptops to students in need and allows them to keep them for as long as they are in college. The library is huge, with a maximum capacity of 150 students. The library also has laptops for general use by students. You can sit and watch your online classes for as long as you want. Classrooms are newly built too.

Faculty: Faculty members of economics department are good. Teachers are well-qualified and helpful, except for one or two. The curriculum of computer applications includes DBMS SQL, C+, Data Machines Learning, Python, etc. The curriculum is relevant, but in order to bag an internship for posts like data analyst, you definitely would require extra certification. The semester exams are not that tough if you attend classes regularly for both economics and computer applications. The college is known for having one of the best faculties for economics at DU.

Other: The best thing about this course is that it opens up opportunities for jobs like data analyst and data science, which are highly in demand. Gargi College is one of the best colleges in DU, which increases the value of the course. Although the curriculum still has more scope for becoming industry-oriented, the college has lot of societies that keep the campus lively. Every year, the college organizes a Diwali fest, Navratri fest, and a 3-day annual fest, which includes a star performance and many events. You can also participate in in-house competitions and connect with the college alumni.
