The college atmosphere is very good. good to learn and enjoy. I am very much satisfied.
Placements: 40% of the students are placed in my cybersecurity course. The highest and the lowest package offered for a cyber security role is 7.6LPA by Deloitte, the only company to conduct a drive for cyber roles. Cognizant, TCS, Accenture, and Capgemini massively recruited. No internships are offered. Deloitte offered a cyber role.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are very advanced L1 classrooms. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The Knowledge Resource Center library has a vast collection of books and knowledge. Hospitality is very good. Blankets are provided every day, food is very good in the hostel, and the canteen has decent prices and quality. There is a GIMS hospital easily accessible. There is an indoor and outdoor stadium and a high class gym which is free for students.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and very knowledgeable. Their teaching is very good. I think the course curriculum has some distance from the industry. Semester exams are only for 30 marks, and we need to get 10 marks. 70 is the internal, which includes minds, assignments, and quizzes.
Other: India needs so many cyber engineers, I took this course. The placements could be better, especially for the cyber roles. Deloitte offered the cyber role in the whole placement. Events were well organized and students can have their best college life.

You can really have your best student life while having a good learning experience.
Placements: The placements were very average. In my cyber stream, only 40% are getting placed, 20% choose higher studies, and the remaining are not placed. The highest was 8.5 LPA. And the lowest is 3.3. The average package is 5 LPA. Companies like Accenture and TCS recruited the students.
Infrastructure: The campus is a Wi-Fi campus. Labs are well-equipped, and most of the classrooms are L1 AC classrooms. Library has many books available and the discussion rooms as well. The food was very hygienic and well-maintained. There is a GIMSR hospital where you can have the medical facility available 24 hrs, and the consultation is free for Gitam students.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful, and many of them are Ph.D. holders. But for some courses, some faculty members were assigned irrespective of their interest and experience. 70 internal and 30 external, we need to get 50% marks for some subjects, which are absolute grades. For relative grading, the subjects' pass percentage will be dynamic.
Other: As many cyber frauds are going on, I took this course. I wish some experienced people from the cyber industry could teach better. The events are going very well. You can have your best student life.

Overall pleasant experience in university life, washrooms are well maintained with drinking water.
Placements: To be honest, a very small number of students got placements in the cybersecurity field. The highest package from the cybersecurity course that I heard about was 18 lakhs per annum, and he got placed in Deloitte by his own efforts. He was the founder of Cysec (cybersecurity club). Top roles offered were security analyst and pentester.
Infrastructure: Since I am a day scholar, I don't have much experience with the hostel, but the infrastructure and facilities provided are awesome. Wi-Fi is quite good with strong strength. Almost every class is digitalized with a good projector and air-conditioning. If we talk about sports and games, they have all the options to play, including e-sports!
Faculty: Every faculty has their own style of teaching. Sometimes students might feel challenged with the professor's language, but most of the faculty are quite supportive and helpful. The course might make the students feel overwhelmed as the original subjects (mainly for cyber-related subjects) might start from the 3rd year of the graduation. Semester exams are not that difficult. If we are well-versed with the concept, we can crack the semester. The passing percentage might differ for every subject. For one subject, it's 28, for another it's 35, and so on.
Other: Since the university is so huge, there are so many events and fests that actually go on, but definitely, it's worth enjoying! For the B.Tech CSE branch, almost the subjects are similar for every specialization. Original subjects start from the 3rd year. The campus is actually quite impressive!

I am totally satisfied with classrooms and furniture.
Placements: Around 80% of students are placed in my college. The highest salary package offered is 48 LPA and the average salary package offered is 8 LPA. Mostly Google, Microsoft, and other famous companies recruit students. All types of courses like B.Tech, BBA, MBA, MBBS, and law are available here.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, digital library, and free Wi-Fi across the whole campus. The main feature is the centralised air conditioner with anytime-on facility and control with one. Food quality is superb with continental and home foods. Medical facilities are free. Sports and games are available with a gym for free using our college ID card.
Faculty: All teachers are highly qualified and have good knowledge. They help students with our projects and also teach us how to impress in interviews and what makes us capable of getting a good job. Semester exams are kept level-wise, so if students are good with their studies and completely understand the concepts, they can attend them very well.

I am averagely satisfied with the college.
Placements: More than 2850 students got placed in our college. Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, Hitachi, and Deloitte are the top recruiting companies. Above 250 students got internships. Chief information security officer, lead software security engineer, cybersecurity sales engineer, cybersecurity architect, and information security analyst are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: There is a central library on our campus also called as Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) and students can go anytime to read in peace. The quality of the food served in the hostel is below average. I sometimes got sick after eating the hostel food. Facilities in the hostel are average.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. But I feel that the teaching quality could have been better in maximum cases but overall it's fine. To a large extent. The course curriculum is relevant and semester exams are average.
Other: I chose this course because of the increasing demand in the cybersecurity field. The only thing I would like to remove is the teaching of unnecessary subjects which are not required.

This is one of the best Deemed University in Andhra Pradesh.
Placements: Almost 80-85% of students are placed in MNCs like Microsoft, Amazon, PWC, TCS, Deloitte, Pega, Cognizant, Adobe, etc. The highest salary package offered in our course is 42 LPA, and the average salary package offered in our course is 4.6 LPA. The lowest salary pacakge offered in our course is 3.6 LPA. Almost 80% of students get internships in MNCs. The top roles offered are system analyst, security analyst, SDE, penetration tester, etc.
Infrastructure: All classrooms are equipped with air conditioning and all laboratories are facilitated with Wi-Fi and air conditioning. There are separate clubs and lounges for coding. Our library has a vast number of journals and books related to all branches and our library is digitalized and has an air conditioning facility. Our campus hostel is good and maintained well, and the food quality is good.
Faculty: All faculty members in our college are well trained, knowledgeable, and teach well. The course curriculum is good, and there is a chance to choose from faculty members to every subject they get in our semester. Many skill-oriented courses are included in the curriculum which makes students industry-ready, and semester exams are covered with all topics of a subject.
Other: I opted for this course, because it is one of the leading courses in present days and I am interested in it. I would wish there would be a transport facility today for scholar students and core faculty members to specialized subjects. Many events are conducted every semester, and many clubs are available along with many extracurricular activities, etc.

Review of GITAM School of Technology, Visakhapatnam.
Placements: I’d say that the Cyber Security specialization at GITAM isn’t that strong. The main reason is that very few security-related companies visit the campus for placements. So far, I’ve only seen one, which is VISA, and they take just a single intern based on CGPA. On the other hand, general placements are handled quite well. The GCDC (GITAM Career Development Centre) provides good training in communication, reasoning, and management skills. While big tech companies rarely recruit here, plenty of smaller firms visit regularly, giving students fair chances to start their careers. If I remember correctly, the highest package is 46.6 LPA.
Infrastructure: This is one area where GITAM truly stands out. The campus has Wi-Fi almost everywhere. Most labs have well-functioning computers, with some equipped with high-performance systems. The library facilities are excellent. They offer free access to Athens and Scopus research papers. Nearly all classrooms and labs are air-conditioned, making it comfortable to study. The canteen serves reasonably priced food. The quality is generally good, sometimes even great. GITAM students also receive discounted treatment at GIMSR Hospital. Sports facilities are top-notch, including badminton, cricket, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, football, and pickleball. There is even a gym open to all students.
Faculty: I have a mixed opinion about this. Some teachers are genuinely very good. They know how to teach well. While others are unfortunately not up to the mark. The curriculum itself is decent but nothing exceptional or career-changing. If you are aiming for a good job. You probably need to focus more on self-learning than relying solely on the syllabus. The exam pattern is quite strict, maybe even too strict at times, and failing a subject can create serious issues later on. The difficulty of semester exams really varies. Sometimes they are extremely hard. Sometimes they are fairly straightforward.
Other: Extracurricular activities at GITAM are one of the best aspects of campus life. There are plenty of clubs. Most of them are quite active with regular events and activities. You’ll find clubs for almost every interest, arts, tech, books, anime, and more. Students are even encouraged to start their own clubs, which makes the environment very open and creative. When it comes to student safety, the administration takes it seriously and acts strictly if any issues arise. Overall, GITAM is a college you can consider.

Placements: They provide opportunities, but most of the students get 5 LPA jobs. Very few students are getting up to 10 LPA. Of course, some students got 40 LPA, but those are off-campus. Campus placement guidance is strong, and internship guidance is also available.
Infrastructure: Great infrastructure, great hostel, and the mess food is very hygienic. Classrooms are also very great (L1 classrooms). Wi-Fi is great and rarely has problems. The college offers a big library and discussion rooms as well. A cricket ground is also provided, along with many other sports like kabaddi, badminton, tennis, table tennis, and many more.
Faculty: Some faculty are great, but some do not have knowledge or do not know how to teach. The curriculum feels a bit old compared to other colleges and is not very job-oriented; it feels like, " Why are we learning these topics? The curriculum must be changed. Semester exams are not too hard and not too easy, but the corrections are a bit hard.
Other: Fests are great. Courses should be improved and made more job-oriented. Overall, it's good if you have a scholarship. You should get a minimum of 8 CGPA every year to maintain the scholarship. Otherwise, it will decrease.
