Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Courses at Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology (GCELT)

Based on student reviews and feedback, the placement cell at GCELT seems to require improvement. Here's a summary of the key points:

* Limited Placement Opportunities: According to some students, the college had a poor placement record in 2016, with only 25% of the batch getting placed, and the majority being offered low salaries.
* Low Package Offers: The highest package offered was INR3 LPA, and the average package was around INR4.5 LPA. Many students received internship offers without stipends.
* Few Companies Visiting Campus: Only a limited number of companies, mostly from Kolkata, visit the campus for recruitment, leading to a small pool of job opportunities.
* Difficulty in Placements: Despite efforts made by the college, many students struggled to find placements, highlighting the need for improved career guidance and mentorship programs.

Overall, while some students reported positive experiences with the placement cell, others expressed frustration and disappointment with the limited job prospects and low pay scales. To improve the effectiveness of the placement cell, GCELT may consider implementing strategies such as enhancing career counseling services, fostering partnerships with more recruiters, and promoting entrepreneurship and startup initiatives among students.

Yes, you can join some mediocre B.Tech colleges for your Technology and Engineering Courses. For that, you have to contact the admissions team of the college and update them about your scores and confirm the admission.

Hello, For B.Tech lateral entry in the 2nd year, you must have a score of 60% in the same branch of Diploma. You can't get admission through class 12th percentage in the lateral entry. You must have a Diploma degree with the same branch which you want to opt for in B.Tech.
