Excellent college, brilliant faculty, and even better placements.

Faculty: Teachers are top surgeons, physicians, and specialists in their field. The curriculum strictly follows NMC-based CBME pattern. GMC has faculty members of medicine at University of Kashmir. Exams are moderately tougher than other colleges but the passing percentage is almost 100.

It is the best college for clinical studies. Best in the northern region of India.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified and have good taste in teaching. There is no semester-wise system, yearly exams are conducted. You have to study hard to pass them. We have two terminal exams in the 1st and 2nd years, and one terminal exam in the pre-final and final years, and then end with sendup exam and university exam.

I'm satisfied with this college in every aspect of faculty, placements, and facilities.

Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They have a lot of years of experience in medical education. The course curriculum is according to the guidelines of National Medical Commission (NMC). The university exams' passing ratio is about 80%. The college is affiliated with Kashmir University (KU).

An overall good college..

Faculty: The Government Medical College (GMC) in Srinagar has a highly qualified and experienced faculty. The college has sufficient faculty, with the highest number of faculty in the Anatomy department (63 faculty staff). The curriculum is relevant and follows the norms laid down by the National Medical Council. Semester and professional examinations are conducted by the University of Kashmir. The pass percentage varies from year to year.

Absolutely, I loved it here—good placements, but it needs to improve infrastructure.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and humble; they make you feel like a father or elder brother. They teach both in classrooms and on the grounds with them. The course curriculum is new but good for students. Exams aren’t that difficult, and the pass percentage is almost 99 percent. Rarely, 2 or 4 students out of 180 fail.

This is the best college.

Faculty: Faculty members are great. All faculty members are well-qualified and excellent at teaching. The MBBS curriculum is very good and balanced. It prepares students in the best way possible. Every year, 4 exams are conducted. There are 3 internal exams and one professional exam. The exams are quite tough. You need to score 50 marks in each subject to pass.

Hostel facilities here are not good compared to other colleges.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. The teaching quality is not good. Exams are very difficult. About 90% of students remain depressed because of difficult internal assessments. Around 50% of students fail internal assessments. Final exams are better than internals, so nearly 90% of students pass them.

I am absolutely satisfied with this college as it has been producing the best doctors for years.

Faculty: It has the best faculty members. They are well qualified. They have good teaching skills. This college strictly follows NMC curriculum, and exams are conducted on time. The college conducts annual exams. The curriculum makes students ready for practical fields.

Everything in the college is good except that it is lacking in infrastructure.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable but the quality is lacking due to slide share and also due to new NMC guidelines. Terminal exams are easy but you do not get gaps between two consecutive papers. Send up exam is very difficult not due to incompatibility of a student but due to not having gaps in between the two papers. Pass percentage is greater than 95 percent.

I am satisfied because of its infrastructure, professors, facilities, and connectivity.

Faculty: Every teacher acts happily with the students making the environment student-friendly. The quality of teaching was also good as most of the professors were well qualified in their respective fields. The curriculum was government-provided and well applied in this college. Exams were difficult, and the pass percentage was 90 to 95%.

It is absolutely a satisfactory college and has value for money.

Faculty: Teachers here have good behaviour towards students. They listen to us and also clear our doubts. So the teaching facility is best and considerable. The curriculum doesn't make students industry-ready but makes heavenly ready for the tough or any difficult situations. Semester exams are tougher than expected. We are taught complete theory to pass, and also in practicals, there is tough competition.

Good clinical exposure, average infrastructure, decent placements, and limited sports facilities.

Faculty: Doctors and professors were highly qualified and very friendly with students. The teaching quality was top-level. The ophthalmology curriculum was relevant. It could make students industry-ready, especially when it emphasizes practical training and clinical experience. The semester exam was tough but informative, with a 75% pass rate.

Score around 580, and you should be well positioned for GMC Srinagar under the All India quota. If you're from a reserved category, cutoffs for those ranks are generally lower.
