Review of GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women.
Placements: In computer science and engineering, about 90% of students are placed at different companies. The highest salary package offered is 21 LPA and the lowest is 3.8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Dell, Philips, State Street, and Applied Materials. Top roles offered are software engineer and IT solution engineer.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, computer labs, the library, and the digital library are very helpful. The infrastructure of the college is very good. The hostel is strict since it's a girls' college, and safety is more important than anything. There is a clean environment in our hostel. The food is very delicious. The canteen serves snacks.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly knowledgeable and experienced. The quality of education is excellent. The course curriculum helps the students become industry-ready by learning the basics they can implement in the future. Our college comes under VTU, so students have to study hard to get good marks.
Other: I chose this course because there is a high demand for IT professionals nowadays, and it's growing day by day. Our college conducts an annual festival, Geethayaana. Sports and cultural events are conducted.

I am really satisfied with the faculty, environment, teaching and also the beauty of the college.
Placements: About 60% of students got placed. The top recruiting companies are VMware, L&T, Infosys, Mphasis etc. The roles offered are system engineer, junior engineer, software engineer etc. The highest package offered in our course is 11.4 LPA. All the students got internships in different companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is really good and clean. There are many housekeepers, and they maintain the campus very neatly. The gardening is very good. The canteen food is very good and tasty. Coffee day is really nice, where we can get all the things needed to eat. The stationary is really very good. We get everything necessary for the course.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good compared to other colleges. The staff are working really hard. They give us lots of questions. In labs, they first explain the program and then let us do the program. They teach very well. In projects, they are very supportive, and they provide more information about what we have to do for the betterment of the project. They support co-curricular activities as well.
Other: The college maintenance is really good.

It is one of the best college in Mysore.
Placements: Our college has more than 325 placement offers. The highest salary package offered was 19 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 4.18 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies are Schneider Electric, Dell, Fiserv, TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, HP, L&T, Infosys, and many more.
Infrastructure: We have a library which has a good collection of books. Other facilities such as Wi-Fi, spacious and well-maintained classrooms, labs, and hostel are available. Special measures are also taken to maintain the greenery. We also have a cafeteria, auditorium, seminar hall, parking lot, and stationary inside the campus. We also have bus facilities.
Faculty: Professors in our college are regular, punctual and cooperative. They complete the syllabus on time and encourage discussions to clear doubts always. We regularly have technical workshops, and talks which help us to know about new technologies. They also support entrepreneur ideas.
Other: I opted for this course because my sister recommended it. The best thing about this course is that you can learn different aspects of computer science. It takes time to understand subjects in this field, but once you understand you will enjoy it. In our college, they conduct many technical and non-technical events every year, which are very interesting. The campus is perfect with a good environment. Scholarships are given, and extra co-curricular activities like sports and fests are always encouraged to participate.

Great placements and a disciplined environment.
Placements: The placement statistics, especially from computer Science branch, is more than 90% with the highest package being 11.2 Lacs in 2019 ( offered by Juniper Networks). In 2018 it was 10.6 Lacs offered by VMware. The number of students getting placed and the companies visiting for recruitment are only increasing every year. The average salary offered can be anywhere between 3 to 4 Lacs. Frequent recruiters are Infosys, TCS, Accenture, LNT etc.
Infrastructure: The classes are equipped with projectors and screens for interactive learning. There are various laboratories. There is a central library, an auditorium and seminar hall. We also have a cafeteria and a stationary store inside the campus. The hostel has 3 blocks and a central mess. It also comprises of a gym. Apart from that, there is a central ground for sports and a basketball court.
Faculty: The professors are regular and punctual to the class. From my experience in my department, the professors are supportive of discussions outside the class also. Apart from regular classes, my department keeps organizing various workshops and technical talks frequently.
Other: I was always keen on learning programming, networking and all those things, so I was very sure of the course I wanted to take up after school. I'm currently a part of the Computer Science department of the college. It's an interesting field of study and I'm glad to have great teachers and HOD in the department.

Our college is providing good placements from 2019 onwards and also good infrastructure.
Placements: I am in the final year, and the placement process is still going on. Currently, from our course, about 50% of the students already got placed. Even students got 2-3 job offers. This year the highest salary package offered as far was 11.06 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was about 2.5 LPA. More than 40 companies have visited our college for placements. Few companies which offered high salary packages would be Juniper Networks, SAP, Philips and HPE. The roles offered by a few companies were software engineer and R&D. Few of the companies which provided the internships were Juniper Networks, Philips, HPE for R&D and HPE for consultation.
Infrastructure: An entire floor in the building is assigned for CSE department, and we have our own CSE department labs which consist of about 100 systems with a strong Wi-Fi facility. Hostel facilities are quite good, and the rooms are very much well maintained and hygienic. The food served here is not very great, but you have the option to order food from outside. Hostel students need to follow quite many rules.
Faculty: Not all teachers are good at teaching despite have knowledge because of the way they teach it. However, the rest of the teachers are very good. Most of them are very friendly, helpful and complete the subject on time. But few other teachers just work under pressure. There are lots of teachers in our department who are highly qualified which makes it easier for us to understand things taught by them.
Other: I was always interested in computers, so I chose this course, and I also want to work in the IT sector. I wish that the library facilities can be very much improved, and our college should bring more books. Apart from the college fest, we have our own department fest every year with lots of participants from other colleges. Our college conducts industrial visit every semester, so introducing us to the IT companies. From every batch, top 25 students get the scholarship.
