My opinion on my college.
Placements: The college provided placement, and almost only 20% of students were placed in my batch. The highest package was 2,60,000 per annum and the lowest was 1,00,000 per annum. Companies other than BPO companies came for placement. There will be no IT recruiters coming for placement. They will not offer any internships. I personally found one and finished that.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are good, and they are very friendly with all students except one or two. Other things like the library, classroom, and others are good. The hostel is very bad. They will only take fees from us, but everything will be bad, like food and other things. They will only provide a room and food for the highest fees (₹25,000 per month) I have ever paid for a hostel.
Faculty: The teaching methods are very good, and all the professors are well-knowledgeable. The course curriculum is moderately good, but I don’t think it will make the students industry-ready. Passing semester exams is very easy as exams are by Madras University, where if you have money for evaluation, you will definitely pass. I think 90% of students passed by giving money to Madras University for evaluation fees.
Other: I chose this course only because my sister advised me to. There’s nothing else. I only enjoyed and had much fun with my friends while in this course. Many events will happen, but everything will be boring.

My bachelor's degree in Chennai (2022-2025).
Placements: Our college is one of the top-ranked colleges for placements. The highest salary package offered is 15.7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.1 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3.7 LPA.
Infrastructure: I really enjoyed the hostel facilities of my college. There is a big laundry for relaxing. We can watch TV with friends. We have a higher level of security within the college campus and in the hostel. So we can't move out without informing our authorities.
Faculty: Teachers are highly encouraging and motivating. They are more engaged in their work at all times. We are supported with all the required resources for studying during exams. Mostly all questions in exams are application-oriented. Only a few questions are important.

Top college for Arts and Science.
Placements: In 2024, during the on-campus placements, the highest package offered to students was 5.5 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package offered was 2.5 Lacs per annum. The top recruiters of our college were Accenture and TCS.
Infrastructure: Different blocks are allotted for students from different departments. It's a Wi-Fi free campus with a friendly environment. The environment encourages us to learn new things every day. The quality of food available at the canteen and hostel mess is high and hygienic.
Faculty: They are very demotivating, always encouraging top students. During placements, they focus on getting the toppers placed, neglecting average students. Semester exams are much easier to clear.

I'm dissatisfied with faculty members of our college.
Placements: Few placements are provided by top MNCs. Companies recruit students based on their marks. Around 100 students got placed out of 2000. Students must search for jobs in Indeed without expecting placements from our college.
Infrastructure: Hostel is not good because it is surrounded by forest and land. Hostel block is far from the college and shops are 30 minutes away from the college. Food served is average. Canteen is nearby the hostel.
Faculty: Exams conducted in our college are liberal except for the university semester exams because exams are conducted by the other staff members. The question paper is revealed a day before the exam. Many students write exams using mobile phones.

It's an average college but there are some good things and bad things.
Placements: Placement here will be good because, there are a lot of companies that recruit which are top in IT level, like cognizant, TCS, Wipro, and Sutherland, where we will grow our careers. Even though, some companies which are not worth it like PVR, Thalapakatti, etc., also come.
Infrastructure: The college hostel is nothing different from other colleges. The food provided will be okay but not that great. There is a physical lab for every course of science like biology -biological lab, etc. The study infrastructure is also not that great but it is average.
Faculty: Faculty for our course was good than other courses because they will explain everything briefly which makes us study well. I don't know about other courses but for our course they are good. Exams will be conducted as every college will be strict.

In this college, you will surely a worth experience.
Placements: I passed out from 2017 batch from B.Sc (CS). As far as placements are concerned, companies which visit our campus are mostly from the BPO sector. Even I got selected in Sutherland, which offered a good salary package. However, our college informs the students about off-campus interviews held by leading MNCs. Some students even got selected in Infosys as well. Our college never focuses on projects or internships.
Infrastructure: Our college has a clean environment. Everything is clean right from toilets to classrooms, and medical first-aid service is provided within the campus. Computer labs are equipped with air-conditioners and have the latest Acer, and HCL systems are used. The canteen provides Chinese and South Indian food items, tea, coffee, juice and also snacks.
Faculty: Hindustan has some highly skilful faculty members. Most of the staff members in our department are M.Phil holders, while some are even PhD holders. Most of them have passed SET, but their teaching quality can be improved. However, it wouldn't be a difficulty for them as all of them are highly skilled. All the subjects included in the syllabus are crucial. The course curriculum does not make students ready to work in any core organisation.
Other: I chose B.Sc in CS to become a software techie. The syllabus provided in this college is the best part of this course. I wish that our college should provide practical and professional knowledge-oriented training in our course. Our college organises a major cultural event named Hindotsav for 2 days. Leading artists from the film industry attend this event. Our college does provide scholarships for high-rank scorers and socially and educationally backward communities.

Best college for arts and science in my point of view.
Placements: Before last semester of each year, a couple of placement will be coming to HCAS. The average salary offer will be like Rs. 18,000 per month. Many kinds of IT and Non-IT companies visited for placements. In every aspect, it's in students hand to be placed if they are well in scoring marks without any backlogs.
Infrastructure: The college can boast good infrastructure and adequate learning resources. The availability of smart classrooms, sports, library, staff rooms, administrative office, and labs are all well-maintained in every manner. The work is pertaining to academics as well as administrative make use of information and communication technology.
Faculty: There are 18 UG programmes, 13 PG programmes, and 13 research programmes are available. Well-experienced dedicated, efficient and competent faculty are there on the campus. The excellent library facilities were encompassing updated editions of books and journals. They are organizing national and international seminars and conferences.
Other: Every year, in the college, the cultural day is celebrated, and the celebrities will take part of the inauguration. The campus will be found crowd along with engineering students inside the Hindustan campus. Bus facility is available throughout and surrounding Chennai.

A good college to join and learn.
Placements: The average placements in my college while comparing with the higher level of colleges. 60% of the students got placed in the campus. The highest salary is Rs.30,000, the average is Rs.15000, and the lowest is Rs.10000. My college was visited by Sutherland, Capgemini, Metro, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, etc. The roles offered were the officer, sales executive, project explainer, etc. My college has no internship, there are no words to say about internships.
Infrastructure: My college has the labs, classrooms, library, sports and games, etc. The quality of the classrooms and lab was good. The quality of the food available in the canteen was also good. The hostel rooms are not bad, no nothing issues I faced in my college. Sometimes, water scarcity is only thing is make issues, but nowadays it is good. Water is available all the time at any where.
Faculty: My teachers were highly knowledgeable. We can learn and ask questions when I have any doubt about anything. They are all qualified. The teachers were friendly to help in many situations. The teaching quality was good, different skills were used in referring books.
Other: The events and inter-college competitions were conducted. We have a big campus, cultural events were conducted on our campus from many years. The campus surroundings were maintained clean to have a seat anywhere, and also many trees with fresh air. SC students were given scholarships.
